Re: Joyo JF-26 Tiny Huge Fuzz (gut shots)
Also, wanted to ask the experts here. Would the 'high end roll off' mod (aka tone wicker mod) where you remove the 470pf caps be possible on this? Obviously not many mods are with it being mostly SMD, but I wouldn't mind opening up the highs on this pedal a bit.

Joyo JF-26 Tiny Huge Fuzz (gut shots)
New Joyo fuzz that I just got from Amazon. It’s definitely a big muff clone of some sort. Someone on Reddit said it was a Swollen Pickle clone and I don’t hear that at all. Probably just taking that from the name. I had the original three knob Swollen Pickle and it was literally the most bassy and s...

Re: JHS/EHX Lizard Queen
I’m not surprised that this based on someone else’s design. He got his company name on a Boss pedal with a circuit that is basically just a rip off of the MI Audio Crunchbox. He got really pissed and defensive on another forum when I pointed that out. As far as I’m concerned he’s the biggest villain...

Re: EarthQuaker Devices - Hoof Fuzz
I have a Hoof and love it. But I wish it had a bit more gain. It gets to about 90% of what I want. Would changing the gain pot to a higher value achieve this and if so what value would you recommend? Any ideas or help are much appreciated.

Re: MXR - Fullbore Metal [guts]
Is the Fullbore related to the metal zone at all? To me it sounds pretty similar.

Re: Caline Mark 4 [schematic]
Caline is actually about to release a new version of the Mark 4 pedal this month with a built in 6 band EQ called the “Easy Driver”. I have the regular Mark 4 and it’s great as is so adding the EQ should make it even better. I use the Mark 4 pedal thru a very bright and clean Silverface Fender Bassm...

Way Huge - Swollen Pickle MKii
I got one of the Way Huge Swollen Pickle MKii reissues recently. I like it, but I feel that it has far too much bass and could also use a bit more gain. Does anyone know what mods could be done to remedy these things? Any recommendations?

Re: EH - Metal Muff [schematic]
I know this is an old thread, but I had a question regarding a Metal Muff mod I was thinking about... The Metal Muff would be greatly improved IMO if the top boost footswitch/knob could be turned into a gain boost... basically have it so the top boost knob just gives you another preset gain level th...

Re: Musicians Sound Design - Paranoid
Someone should trace this and make a layout. It's a great sounding pedal. Here's a demo someone did on youtube:
If anyone needs some additional pics and/or values let me know.

Musicians Sound Design - Paranoid
Thought I would post some pics of the fairly rare Musicians Sound Design Paranoid fuzz. It's a good sounding pedal that gets close to some Sabbath type tones. Good for Smashing Pumpkins stuff too. It's pretty fuzzy and big muff sounding, but a bit tighter and more focused low end. Pretty well built ...

Re: MXR Custom Badass '78 Distortion [schematic]
Don't have the schematic, but I bought one of these pedals tonight at GC. I A/B'd it with my old 1983 MIJ DS-1 and they sound almost identical except the MIJ DS-1 sounds better. Disappointing pedal. They basically came up with a way to sell a $20 DS-1 for $80.

Re: Danelectro - Transparent Overdrive [schematic]
Someone on another forum brought up the similarity between the Xotic BB preamp (which has 4 controls) and the Dano CC distortion which also has 4 knobs. The Drive definitely has an OCD type sound, but IMO I actually prefer it to the OCD. The bass isn't as overbearing on higher gain settings and I ju...
