I think Paul's reasoning is sound, honestly. What seems somewhat more likely to occur, IMO, is that someone might build an inaccurate clone, dislike the sound, and then "conveniently" neglect to mention in posts elsewhere that the pedal on which they have based their less-than-stellar rev...

On that tone control in the first diagram, are those caps coming off the lugs just soldered to the side of the pot? Or am I missing something?

I'm real interested in the tone control in this circuit. Can anyone tell me what's going on there. Is that some kind of notch filter in the feedback loop? How can I calculate what frequencies are being affected? Any info is helpful...thanks.

Anybody know the difference between the Roadhouse and the Burst. I have both. I prefer the Roadhouse over the burst and would like to build myself a backup. Sounds to me like there is more filtering - possibly in the feeback loop? And what about that op-amp? Sure looks like a Fairchild (258 or 358 m...
