Hi i see a suspicius resistor on the left side near a green capacitor....

Compliments;is possible to see some photo of the amp??

Check the polarity of the power supply,make one photo of your board,probably you made some mistakes.

Hi,you have to check the connection of the wires to the pot ,one is going to ground.....

D1-D2 ,normally they are placed one facing the other in opposite sides to ground
Zd.... are normally zener diode; for voltage regulation.

The answer is simple too,first find a schematic for 5E3.
Second test every transformer to see what voltages put out.
Third found a classic Fender chassis layout,and do testing and testing.....

If you build ten of this successfully,this meaning that the layout is Verified;now you have made something wrong(X4) Take your time,and carefully obverse for orientation of components (transistor first of all),cuts under the circuit etc.etc. Finally why you don't connect the effect with a real amp? ...
