I hate Futurlec and their ridiculously slow shipping. I hate them so much that I spent an hour searching the web to find somewhere else to buy the parts. i have built my voodoovibe clone with changes made to the pcb that i saw fit. i am awaiting parts from, you guessed it, Futurlec. when my build i...

This circuit, like the KLON and Hotcake, seems to be a Love - Hate thing. I was underwhelmed (I love that term!) by this myself but some people swear by this thing! I added the tone control into the circuit to try an tame some of those nasty nasties Steve mentioned. i find that a lot of people with...

just a thought for those who are going to build this one - i am adding an additional led on to the led block in the pcb so you can see how the wavform is moving on the outside of the stompbox - i will upload soon, so those that want it, wait for me to upload :D i am also making a couple of extra mod...

I wonder if the color of the LED really matters as much as the LDR ratings? yeah it does matter which colour the led is. ldr's react differently to different wavelengths (colours). most ldr's are most sensitive to the yellow wavelength. red is very close to yellow in the wavelength spectrum so it d...

hey alessandro can i ask you why you changed the speed range caps to tantallum? are they tants on the board? the pics i have dont show those caps becasue they are under a cable jack. i cant find a 0.68 tant cap anywhere.. can i wire in two 0.33 tant caps in series? will tant caps work like that? is ...

First i answer to KT66:there're 2 type of regular 5mm commercial led, dark yellow(seems like internally the plastic is painted) and clear bodied yellow (transparent yellow plastic) and this is the kind of led used in the original RM VV! Hey bajaman thanks for your mod and i'll try to put it into my ...

Check the first message in THIS thread. this thread has posts relating to the voodoovibe and the memory man. im not sure why the two are tangled up?? maybe a problem with the database?? this is why am confused as t...

Very interesting to see the stage caps graph!! I wonder if it would be easier to find a suitable photocoupler than rolling my own. Something tells me my build will be packed with sockets!! Good to see these latest discussions, gentlemen. if you wanted to use a vactrol a VTL5C3 would be perfect at i...

hey bajaman i have drawn out the graph so you can see what i have done. although the y axis is not to scale, it does show you the difference in the curves even though they are not exactly proportional. you can see rm's curve is very symmetrical, the univibe has some ramping in the middle, and yours ...

I used 3mm hi brite transparent lens yellow leds and the ldrs have a off value of several megohms. On value is in the low 10 ohm region. What did you use to draw the phase curves? hey steve - did you measure the LDR's with your finger over them? usually a rating of 1mohm will only come about after ...

at the risk of repeating myself i think RM intentionally smoothed out the phase curve by lowering the second cap and raising the third cap to give a smoother phase curve becasue there is so much flexibility in the LED section. i could be wrong. but from my charts it looks like a very smart move. try...

hey bajaman just a thought.. becasue the phase shifting stage is virtually identical to the univibe i really do think that the cap values are correct. so why would yours not sound right with these values? the only thing i can think of is the LDR/LED combination. your cap values give a big peak which...

There 're empty solder parts 'cause i've omitted a transistor and some components of the OVERLOAD LED INDICATOR(i did't build this section in my device)! If tou want to build this part you can easily make it by the original schematic!CIAO im not sure why so many of the threads are mixed up. i think ...

hey bajaman, if you graph out RM's (greenfuz) vibe caps you can see he has taken the high and the dip out of the univox curve by lowering the value of the second cap and raising the value of the third cap. this gives us a much more even curve, but still with some nice swing. this is prob becasue he ...
