D4 most likely blew because some one used a reversed plug supply. opps
ok I have some 1N914 or 1N4148.
Yes I suspect a reverse polarity issue.

That's what I've been thinking but I can't figure out what diode that is? Will any zener do?

need help reparing ammoon looper sudden death [SOLVED]

Hello I lent out an ammoon stereo looper (vague clone of the ehx 720) and it came back dead. I plug it in with the power supply in my studio and nothing happens, no leds light, no sign of life. I measure 9v at the power jack, and get similar voltages around the diodes and components in the attached ...

Re: led weirdness in mxr m89

Thanks to all for documents and tips. I changed the led and all is working normally. I had damaged the one I put in prior by twisting it around to the point that one of the legs had come off!

Re: led weirdness in mxr m89

9V across the LED will toast it. Can you tell us the order of the parts? E.g. +9V -> 4k7 resistor -> cathode -> anode -> switch. I'd take out the LED and measure the voltages at the cathode and the anode and the current between the cathode and anode. If those are right I could test the circuit by s...

Re: led weirdness in mxr m89

Thanks that's most helpful! With the led off I see 8V on the anode and 9V on the other side of the 4k7 resistor. When I turn the pedal on the voltage drops to 250mv on the anode.

Re: led weirdness in mxr m89

positive voltage (235 mv) at the led anode, ground at the cathode. led is installed with flat side at cathode. led tested as working before I placed it into the circuit. stumped.

Re: led weirdness in mxr m89

The resistor running to the led isn't shorted, measures 4k7-5k. There's no solder bridges either.

Re: Electro harmonix 2880 schematic needed and other

No unfortunately it's not a broken solder joint...the guy I got it from had replaced the pot with a mono pot - I found this out afterwards...I ordered the corresponding stereo pot which is a kind of odd pot (ALPS RK09K12C) and am no awaiting its arrival to see if that's all there is to it or if ther...

led weirdness in mxr m89

Hello, I picked up a used MXR M89 which seems to work properly all but for the led. I pulled the led out of the circuit and tested it independently to confirm it was indeed not working. I then tested a fresh led just to be sure it was working prior to soldering it into place. When I then tested the ...

Electro harmonix 2880 schematic needed and other

Hi
I have a 2880 whose headphone right channel has died. It could be the associated pot or a preamp. Would be great to have a schematic if available.

Thanks

ehx 45000 and 2880 same circuit?

just wondering if someone can post gut shots of the circuits to see if there's any difference. if there isn't it should be possible to upgrade the 2880 with the software upgrade from the 45000 (the software I can provide and it is easily obtainable from ehx i believe) and eventually the 45000 foot c...

electro harmonix 2880 to 45000? is it possible

Hi all, I just purchased a 2880 secondhand. I'm aware of its limitations compared to the 45000 (multiple loop storage mainly) but the price difference (300 euros used compared to 560 euros new) didn't have the cash for the 45000. I've been wondering if anyone has tried a 45000 foot controller with t...

Re: EH - Q-Tron+ [schematic]

Hi all,

I want to add a response switch to my old big box q-tron. Does anyone know where that would go ? Or can anyone pm me a schematic of the Q-tron + that i can compare to the q-tron?
Have scoured various forums for an answer on the question without luck.
Thanks,

Hi, hope this hasn't been dealt with already elsewhere. How would one go about wiring a jack to control the delay level with an expression pedal ?

Re: MAGNUS MODULUS - PROJECT - PT2399 ECHO/Chorus/Tremolo/Boost [documentation]

using cathexis' vero layout. can anyone tell me how the rate led, tails, tails led get connected on that ? Pictures or drawings would be very cool as I have almost zero theoretical understanding of what I'm doing.

thanks

Re: Behringer VM1 Vintage Time Machine

Hi,

Just got a VM-1, satisfied overall save for the weak modulation.

Was wondering if changing the value of the vibrato/chorus pot would change anything ?
Or maybe there's a specific trimpot to tweak ?

Thanks
