Re: Roger Mayer Voodoo vibe troubleshooting
Two things that I found
There's a really strong GNd loop hum in the pedal, don't know if it means anything
2. I injected a signal right after the first transistor and the signal was weak (also at the end of the modulation chain and signal was normal)

Re: Roger Mayer Voodoo vibe troubleshooting
Added a video, the Roger mayer company do not support units that are over 10 years old.. didnt even supply a schem/voltage chart etc, kind of annoying, thank god for people who trace circuits...
hope anyone has any idea on how to approach this ?

Re: Little VOODOO VIBE project by Kaputepalla [documentation]
I've had this one for a while, was working perfectly but now i get low output and the effect drops volume when engaged, bypass works, the Chorus/Vib/Trem modes all work but the sound has a very loud bass thump to it. I've attached a schematic i've found, I suspect the first Transistor because the LF...

Re: BAJA Real Tube Drive pedal project [documentation]
i used 7812 instead of 7815 till it gets here... managed to find the voltages on the thread and chased down pin 7 on the ic, cause that was the the main culprit, found a missing link (using wires for the pots and one of them struck out and wasnt touching the board right. now all is fine, sounds KILLER

Im having a weird problem, i get no distortion, only clean sound when gain is off and when fully on i get no sound at all, volume and tone controls work My ic voltages are 1,2,3,5,6 are 0v Pin 4 is -15v Pin 8 is 12v Pin 7 is 11.41v Tube voltages 2.62v -12 -12 4 0v dc 5 0v dc 6 3.92 -12v -12v Any ide...

fixed it.
pedal is fully working, problem was the jumpers, one of them lost contact.
all good now, thanks bajaman !

Re: BAJA Real Tube Drive pedal project [documentation]
replaced the regulators, now getting -15v on the 79 and +12 on the 78 (using 7812, what i had on hand)
the IC voltages after replacing are
1:10.80v
2:10.84v
3: 10.94v
4: 10.91v
5: 10.83v
6:10.31v
7:10.87v
8:12.01v
these voltages are kinda screwy aren't they ?

Re: BAJA Real Tube Drive pedal project [documentation]
I'm sorry for double posting, but I think more people are watching this thread: i started this thread here: https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic.php?f=73&t=27877 now after some further testing i'm getting i'm getting -15.5v at the output of the 7815 regulator, the voltage should be positive ...

Re: no sound, stumped HELP bajaman real tube overdrive
I'm getting at the input
17.2vAC
and after the diodes -23.1V DC
is it suspicious ?

Re: no sound, stumped HELP bajaman real tube overdrive
regulator should be pumping +15v ?
polarity is fine on the diodes and capacitor orientation also looks ok, none are bloated or look damaged also.
primary suspect now is the regulator

no sound, stumped HELP bajaman real tube overdrive
hey all, i can't get any sound with this pedal, i've listed the voltages of the IC and tube , using 12ax7 and TL72CP IC: 1: -15v 2: -14v 3: -13.23v 4: -15.1v 5: -13.23v 6: -13.6v 7: -13.53v 8: -13.94v tube: 1: 0v 2: 12v 3: 11.5v 4: -3.9v 5: 0v 6: 0v 7: 11.8v 8: 11.3v 9: -5.3v do the voltages look ok...

Re: BAJA Real Tube Drive pedal project [documentation]
also, do you think putting 100k instead of 47k on the anodes will yield different kind of distortion ? or will it be too much for a pedal to handle and will result in really low voltage to the anode ?

Re: BAJA Real Tube Drive pedal project [documentation]
will this jack fit ?
http://www.rean-connectors.com/en/produ ... ks/nys2162
i ordered the ones from mammoth but the spacing is too wide for the pcb.
or does anyone have a part number for both jacs that fits firetcly ?

Re: Toneczar - Openhaus [traced]
if all the knobs work as they should, check the transistor orientations.
check and replace them one at a time if you find a mistake.
