Re: Menatone Pig [traced]
I actually ended up changing one of the 100pf caps to a 10pf for more top end: cool thanks man. do you know what you set the 100k trimpot to? didn't have a trimmer that would fit so i just stuck in a 27k resistor, however the bass ch seems like it's not as loud as the treb ch so i was wondering abo...

Re: Menatone Pig [traced]
hey there, thanks for the reply. so all you changed in the end from your parts initially installed on your layout was just the drain resistor values and kept everything else as posted in the layout? rhjohnk wrote:I built it just like the PCB that I posted. mine has no issues at all.

Re: Menatone Pig [traced]
update: i did find the pedal to sound a little dark so i replaced C18 (a 4n7) with a 3n3 and i like it a lot better now which is pretty much like having R27 being a 10K with the 4n7. hey there, i just built one of these with your board layout and it works great. just wondering (since you used the v...

Re: Bigfoot FX Magnavibe [traced]
just built one of these and it's sounds pretty much like a small old magnatone amp i worked on a few yrs back. i was just wondering how to increase the depth on this circuit. are there any values in the circuit to change or is it pretty much dependent solely on the ldr and led combo? thanks. rh also...

Re: Klon - Centaur II
since most people seem to have used the klon historically as mainly a boost, turning up the gain pot very little, i wonder why he doesn't change the dual gain pot taper to audio instead of linear and spread out the "clean" boost range? rh

Re: Penny Pedals - Fingerprint [gut shots, schematic] [traced]
Anyone know anything about the Secret Seasons SNOWDRIFT? Its supposedly similar to the Fingerprint. i saw this gut pic on the web---looks like to me the snodrift is the just the fingerprint with an algal bloom cicuit either in series or in parallel with it---hard to tell the sequence from the pic. rh

Re: BAJA Sagittarian Charger (mini KLON) [documentation]
just built one of these using the bajaman board layout and wiring diagrams and everything works fine and sounds very good. i have a friend with a real klon i'll compare it to in the next couple of weeks, but to my my memory it sounds very close. i was wondering if there's any problem with using a 1/...

Re: electronix submarine bass preamp pedal
rhinson, It is likely to make no difference sound wise but are you sure the 2nF and 3nF capacitors are not 2.2nF and 3.3nF? Thanks, SF hello there, yes they were .0022 and .0033----sometimes i just don't add the last digit when i type.!! and you are very correct it would make no diff in sound-----i...

hey silent fly, thanks man---very nice of you. here is a discussion of this unit---scroll down about 3/4 page for the designers thoughts on it--he includes some graphs for those so inclined.

Hope this helps a bit. :thumbsup submarine_bass_pcb.pdf SUBM1L.GIF SUBM2L.GIF SUBM3L.GIF hey man that is very nice---thanks very much! btw, how do you go from the (expresspcb?) color version of that to making a nice black and white trace (in pdf form) that i/anyone can use pnp blue with? that's ver...

Re: electronix submarine bass preamp pedal
Yeah, that's right. Thnx. This was done early this morning, so I guess I've been still sleepy when I start drawing it. Would anyone be kind enough to "decipher" the few values from this schematic. Resistor between 0.002uF and ground. I don't see if it's 580k or 680k. Same for the D...

Re: electronix submarine bass preamp pedal
hello there, probably not much interest (...) Quite the opposite! Thanks Rhinson :applause: Interesting circuit. I suspected the pedal had a Big Muff type of tone control... I am not convinced by the 50k input pot. It is far too low for any passive bass. Are you 100% sure about it? If the transisto...

electronix submarine bass preamp pedal
hello there, probably not much interest but i thought i'd post/contribute it anyway! here's my little crappy handdrawn schemo and the (reversed) handrawn trace with parts values on there if someone wants to make one. notice the vol/imp. pot at the frontend of the circuit---i guess keep strong bass s...

Re: BAJA Sagittarian Charger (mini KLON) [documentation]
i just pulled the old wrong values off the old layout and made the value changes and the front and rear end changes. even though i didn't have a couple of the exact right values this time around the build sounds very close to what i remember the real deal sounding like. i have buddy with one and wil...

Re: BAJA Sagittarian Charger (mini KLON) [documentation]
so the topography is essentially the same as the first/longstanding schemo, but there were a lot of wrong values and some additions on front and rear of the circuit. so this one could be built on the initial pcb board layout?---i still have a blank board i etched a few months back and never used. th...
