Regulated DC Voltage Current
Hey Guys,
Quick question, if I have 10V at 500mA running into a 5V Regulator (rated at 2A for argument sake) does this mean I have 5V at 1A available (nominally) on the output of the regulator? Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Mictester Relay Switching Scheme - Still have switch pop
2.5V is crazy high, must be thudding pretty loud! I would definitely change the output capacitor. Especially if it is a Tant, I have had a few leaky ones myself :) I'm rather skeptical about adding the 2.2M on the output, surely this would affect the output Impedance? :hmmm: I would much rather have...

Re: Silicon Tone Bender
Hi, Very cool little pedal! I have built it and all is working well. I have noticed the the tone control has virtually no effect on notes played on mt high E string, I think its a clever tone design having 2 low pass filters and panning between them using a 50K pot, well thats what it looks like to ...

Re: Simple Buffered Splitter
Should this eliminate ground loop issues with 2 amps? Or do I need transformers.

Re: Landgraff - Dynamic Overdrive (Grandlaff Dynamic Overhyp [traced]
So, I replaced the pot, it was faulty and wasn't providing any resistance. Now as for the heavy gated sound and the massive voltage drop in the diode lift position Im still at a loss. Can you point me in the right direction? Where and what should I be testing? Much appreciated

Thanks, will try tonight and back to you with results!bigorangefan79 wrote:Measure impedance across pins 1 and 2. Turning drive knob should change it from 10k to just over 1meg ohms. if it reads more than that or does not change then your drive pot or something around it is not hooked up right.

Re: Landgraff - Dynamic Overdrive (Grandlaff Dynamic Overhyp [traced]
I was going to post this in the debug section however it appears to be locked out!? Any who Im have some trouble with my layout and need some help. My pedal works fine when the 1N914 diodes are engaged but whenever i toggle over to the middle position (diode lift) I get this heavily gated sound. Als...

Re: Landgraff - Dynamic Overdrive (Grandlaff Dynamic Overhyp [traced]
I have built this pedal and am loving the tone but have one quick question... would I be able to use a 18V power supply? My polorised caps are rated at 25V... im really keen to do this, do I have to modify it in anyway?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Ok whenever I turn the gain right up I get a really high pitched squeal noise any ideas? Also I changed the tone value and it makes no difference. Sorry about the questions im a noob

Re: Landgraff - Dynamic Overdrive (Grandlaff Dynamic Overhype) [traced]
This was my first build and it sounds great howeve my tone knob doesn't work very well. I'm thinking it should be 20K and not 25k pot? Also what kind of switch is the SPDT? Is it on-off or a on-off-on? Thanks for you help in advance

Fantastic this looks great! I just wanted to turn my mono signal into stereo and run it to 2 amps so this looks perfect! Any chance of a layout Vero Board Layout? Not very good with schematics! thanks heaps guys!

Mono to Stereo Split
Hi All,
I'm very new to the world of DIY effects, I'am wanting to turn my mono signal into a stereo signal and split. So mono input, dual stereo output. No footswitch required. Just wanna know how to do it. Also Im not very technical so keep it simple! Many thanks in advance.
