Skreddy Major Overdrive and General PIG

Anybody know what topology the skreddy overdrives are? There are a few but I‘m most curious about the british sounding major... The latest General Pig Muff also looks very interesting as I‘m already a big fan of marks lunar module and P19 for the different era gilmour sounds... And BTW Mark if you‘r...

Re: Pete Cornish - SS-3 Soft Sustain [traced]

Thanks!!! How sure are you about the IC‘s both being TL071 and the diodes 1N34A? Why would Cornish make such a strange dualpot “bass cut“ poti? If it‘s all the way CCW it not only reduces bass but increases highs, so the frequency respond becomes more toppy allaround and if you turn it CW it returns...

Re: Pete Cornish P-2

Both are also really close to the Skreddy P19 which aims for the same sound. The only differences are 10k/200ohm (P19) vs 12k/390ohm (P2) on the collector and emitter of the first three transistors... I see the schematic posted by Ulysse.Gaunarol is no longer on ImageShack, so I attached it. Mind yo...

populated Octavia PCB / Hendrix Octavio schematic

The pcb is made from madbeans old Retrograde layout (no actual madbean pcb) and populated with the best parts after the "JH-OC1 Jimi Hendrix Vintage Octavio Reissue" schematic. I populated two pcb's but only build one pedal, which sounds killer btw... Tropical Fish Cap Polystyrene Caps BC ...

I completely rewired the power supply with two parallel separated decoupled and filtered networks and now it's the most quiet trem of them all, NICE!

Re: Cardinal Harmonic Tremolo - schematic, layouts, and demo

Hi there, I just build the cardinal with the 1776 pcb and it sounds very cool! The only problem I have is, I get a thumb like click from the lfo into the signal I tried every detick mod I can tink of a 100nF cap directly arcoss V+ and V- on the tl062 a 33nF cap across the wave pot and increasing the...

Re: roseblood11: Rose Screamer

This circuit uses a symmetrical power supply. That's why the diodes are connected to ground... And if you use LED's, the sound in hardclipping mode will be too loud compared to the softclipping mode. The middle position of the clipping switch wouldn't work as well - that's exactly why I used german...

Re: roseblood11: Rose Screamer

This is not really a boutique screamer, is it? This belongs in the DIY Stompbox designs Area. Nevermind, nice twists... It's pretty rough and bright, more like a MXR Distortion+ than a DS-1. But with the tone control, you can get really usable sounds. Maybe adding a small cap (1nF or more) in parall...
