This even has swap-able shafts, including a D-shaft. I'd cover the hole on top (for optional on/off switch) with a sticker or something.
Thanks again, Ron! I just bought one. 8)

Re: 1976 V2 EH Electric Mistress pot?

I looked through my stuff and couldn't find anything. What I do is buy a 1 Meg reverse audio pot, add wires to the lugs to extend them, and cut the shaft to a D-shape with a dremel. I've done this several times over the years and have had good luck with it. With the knob on it you can't even tell. ...

1976 V2 EH Electric Mistress pot?

Hi guys, My tech has determined that the rate pot on my 1976 V2 Electric Mistress needs to be replaced. However, he's having a hard time finding the correct replacement. Do you know where I could get one? Here's what he said: "It looks like the rate pot is open. I looked for one online and can'...

Re: P-2356 transistor for Maestro Boomerang Wah [found/sold]

Update: So, for the record, the original P-2356 transistors in my BG-1 measured 281 and 304 Hfe. They are NPN silicon.

Looks like Mozz's small green dot ones are the ones I need.

PM sent! :applause:

Re: P-2356 transistor for Maestro Boomerang Wah [found/sold]

Oh, cool! Those definitely look the part Mozz. Mine have green dots too.

I'll get Derek (my amp/pedal tech buddy) to measure the hfe, and I'll pm you with my details. I'm in Toronto (Canada) so I'll PayPal you for the cost + your time and effort + usps shipping.

Thanks a lot man!

Re: P-2356 transistor for Maestro Boomerang Wah [found/sold]

Hi Plush,
Well, maybe that'll work. We couldn't find any information regarding these P2356 trannys.
A 5088 or 3904 is a direct replacement?
Have you got a link to where I could buy one?
Thanks a lot!

P-2356 transistor for Maestro Boomerang Wah [found/sold]

Hi all, Is there anyone here who'd be able to sell me a replacement P-2356 transistor for my 1967 BG-1 Boomerang? If anyone would have one, it would be one of you excellent guys. :thumbsup My tech has determined that one of the original trannys needs to be replaced. (noisy) Thanks a lot. Sean. (Toro...

Re: DeArmond - Twister ( Model 1930 Phaser ) [schematic]

Update: Well, I found a local guy who was willing to fix my thumping Twister - Laurie at www.dingotone.com
He found that a trim pot was out of whack. (I guess the previous owner had fooled with it ) So, It's a great sounding phaser again! All is well!
Thanks for all the suggestions. :applause:

Re: DeArmond - Twister ( Model 1930 Phaser ) [schematic]

Here's some quick wiring shots. BTW, if the cap by the yellow wire is C3 - it's 222K. See my earlier post. I'm not a DIY'er. I can wire pots and switches, but that's it. Maybe I could send it to one of you guys for fixing the thump? PM me, if you want to help me. I've got an EH Bad Stone 1st version...

do you know pot values?
:thumbsup
I don't see any markings on the sides ( I didn't remove them from the box though) They're CTS pots with 1980 and 81? dates. Rate is shown first and then intensity.

Re: DeArmond - Twister ( Model 1930 Phaser ) [schematic]

Here's some better pics of R1 (I see it circled now ) I don't know if you noticed, but C9 , C10 and C11 are all orange 47K 1kv caps Oh yeah, in answer to a PM, this thing thumps fast or slow according to the rate pot and it does do the phase thing at the same time. It sounds really good actually! No...

So, whose going to help me figure out the problem with my unit? :hmmm:

Re: DeArmond - Twister ( Model 1930 Phaser ) [schematic]

I don't know how to read resistors, so I'll take another pic. I don't see R1 on the photo - just R2 and R3 are circled. BTW, you can't see it in the pics, but on the bottom right, there is a small green 102K cap to the right of the big green 474K. I listed that in my values, but wasn't sure if you c...

More pics. I wrote down the cap values and trannys, as well, if anyone wants. Only 1 cap (an electrlytic?) wasn't readible. The numbers are hidden underneath.
Does this make you vultures (Boris) happy now?

Re: Help! Vintage Dearmond Twister thumping [schematic]

If your setup is noisier than his before the pedal (unshielded guitar with single coils?) any trem might 'thump'. I was using my LesPaul with humbuckers with Evidence Audio and George L's through my 63 Pro. Maybe I'll try another amp or guitar. The thing doesn't seem to thump when the rate is 75% -...
