Re: Roger Mayer - Purple Haze Limited Edition

I can say one thing. Its not the 42tmo22. They have been tried for decades with not great results.

This shows the latter part of the tycobrahe type layout. The two last transistors plus many of the corresponding resistors.

Re: Roger Mayer Purple Haze Limited Edition

The heart is a tycobrahe octavia changing parts to:

180 ohms instead of 220.
1.5k instead of 1.2k.
4.7k pot instead of 1k.

Zoom in on a good picture of it. It looks pretty obvious. Nobody really is up at arms because it can't work without the righttransformer.

Re: Roger Mayer Purple Haze Limited Edition

You can tell the heart of the circuit by certain resistors and capacitors.

Roger Mayer - Purple Haze Limited Edition

I'm thinking about buying one and placing schematic here, but it costs $1,899. Any advice?

Re: Dunlop - Octavio

It has less gain and more treble than the Tycobrahe, due to the 22uf capacitor to transformer rather than the 33uf.

Re: Mosrite - Fuzzrite [schematic]

I have met Eddie Sanner a few times. Unlike some of the other pedal makers from the 60s, Eddie is pretty easy going for someone of his status. Very approachable due mainly to his western american roots and southern style hospitality. Just don't get him started about religion. He will talk your ears ...

they read 12K and 126K in circuit. so i would say 10K and 100K.
Thank You! Just saved me $150.

Me too :)

I hope we will get the values of the pots soon :)
Theres one at a local GC. I think I'll just pick it up tomorrow and post the pot values here.

Re: Dunlop Octavio - Guts

I am going to make one, but I'll try some different types of vintage Mullard-Philips .1uf caps for the input cap. A lot of mine are still good. :hmmm:

Re: Rosac - NuFuzz

Was a friend of the guy who designed this- Eddie Sanner. He designed most of the effects for Mosrite and Rosac in the 1960's out of Bakersfield, California.
