Re: Secretefx - Secret-1 STD overdrive [traced]

Someone pointed out an error in the layout, the link to pin 2 should be going to pin 3, but I can't edit the post above so here is the updated layout.

Re: Boss - HM-2 Heavy Metal [schematic]

BL and GR signifies the gain range in the transistor (GR: 200-400, BL: 350-700). I don't know for sure with the HM2 but the HM3 definitely used GR variants so I would assume the same was true for the HM2.

Re: BJFE - Emerald Green Distortion Machine [traced]

Hi guys. The schematic was sent to me a while ago and I think at the time I was asked not to share it, but can't completely remember so here it is. If the author would prefer me not to then please let me know and i'll remove it from here. It doesn't flow like many of us may be used to seeing schemat...

If we get a volunteer from one of the very clever and patient guys on here who do that kind of thing, I'll pay postage both ways. I'll pay for your postage as soon as he receives it, and send him the return postage at the same time.

The layout needed a small correction and has been shifted about a bit, so if you want to build from the layout get the latest version now

I've been asked much less likely things (often), so sometimes it's hard to pick up on sarcasm with the written word. Even smilies don't give a clue any more when everyone uses them for everything :D ← ← (see)

Re: Moen Fuzz Moo [schematic]

They're unlikely to be hand picked for gain. The company that makes them in China quoted me $10 a piece for populated Muff boards if I buy at least 100 (including soldered pots like this) for a little sideline I was considering a couple of years ago. With those sort of margins they won't be sorting ...

To be fair Michael Landau has offered a full refund with his own money for any of the Landau vertex products bought if the purchaser can't get a refund from Vertex themselves.

Re: Vertex NOS Axis Wah - De-gooped - [Traced] [traced]

For IvIark, here is the bottom side of the PCB where you can see the inductor pins: Aah right, I didn't realise they were like that. So the pins used seem to be the full 18mm apart and slightly off centre? Hmmm vero probably isn't ideally suited to this one, maybe the vero version would work better...

I think this covers it, although with a 3.75mm pitch the inductor may need fettling in a bit to build it on vero

That's great thanks for the dimensions.
The main thing I want from all the whole Vertex debacle is to find out what projects you worked on that you wouldn't tell us about
