Re: Two Pedals - One Box - Master Volume - asking the imposs

you'd then be adding a volume control to any bypass signal too.

Re: Zvex - Fuzz Factory [traced]

fac de fuzz vero def works, but it isn't clear that the middle pin of the comp pot needs to connect to the one on the left, what with the wires being different colours and it not quite curving right (hey, i'm a graphic designer - sue me!). to recap - connect the middle and left pins of the comp pot ...

Re: Zvex - Fuzz Factory [traced]

i've tried quite a few different gain combos of 128s and 2n404s, and i've found they do make quite a difference to how many 'usable' sounds you can squeeze out of this junk. i prefer something around the 70-75 mark for Q1, and the higher end of the fuzz face scale for Q2 - 115-120ish and my fuckers ...

AC128 / 2N404 / 3PDT and other goodies

Been buying stuff in bulk as i got sick of being burned with untested shit, so i have goods to offer. Not looking to retire here, just covering costs / funding further purchases to spread the tested love (no tranny STDs here): http://www.freewebstore.org/chakkaboom-pedal-parts/ also on eBay, but che...

Re: Dwarfcraft Devices - The Great Destroyer [traced]

so i finally got round to finishing the double-D. got over the output master volume problem by adding a dual-gang pot on the outputs of each circuit. not a true master volume, as it effects the level of circuit 1's output being fed into circuit 2's input, but it works for me. just adds to the unpred...

could explaina bit more about this 'double 2n3904' business? i don't get it, but i hate the uncontrollable oscillation this thing churns out.

Re: Schaller Tremolo / Hearthrob Tremolo

Here's one I did a while ago based on the same Vero, just to make it larger. cheers for redrawing, but there are a couple of errors on it which had me scratching my head for a while. - You have R15 marked as R5 (spdt1 > gnd) - the real R5 is connected to the wrong track. should be track C, not B as...

Re: Two Pedals - One Box - Master Volume - asking the imposs

i think i'll just go with the dual gang pot. it'll probably sit in a box unused anyway, i was just thought i'd check as it's pretty much the first thing i've come across in the year i've been fiddling with this stuff that i couldn't see a solution to. thanks though.

Re: Two Pedals - One Box - Master Volume - asking the imposs

not if i want one and two on together

i want to have it in any of these states: bypass / one only / two only / one and two (output of one feeds input of two)

Two Pedals - One Box - Master Volume - asking the impossible

I've put together a twin version of a 'Great Destroyer', utilising both sides of the chip. it's effectively two pedals in one box, each TGD having it's own 3pdt footswitch wired as true bypass with grounded input (as detailed at GGG). what i wanted to do, which sounded so simple in my head, was add ...

Re: Dwarfcraft Devices - The Great Destroyer [traced]

all as per this schematic: Image.jpeg only on the right hand circuit i've just changed the caps to 4.7u so i've a guitar circuit one side, bass the other. i've now hit the problem of the seemingly simple matter of a master volume. i just can't work out how to do it, or if it's even possible. both si...

Re: Vox - Repeat Percussion (V 809) [schematic]

not really a depth control, but the mix pot on my vero works well, giving the illusion of depth by throwing in a bunch of dry signal.

goes from total chop to dry.
