Re: Electra MPC Module Schematics [schematic]
Hey guys, I'm working on attempting to rebuild the Electra Filter follower, and am having difficulty with the CA3094 with respect to the schematics.
Anyone helping with understanding that part, I'd appreciate it.

Foxx Tone Machine Octave issues.
Just built a Foxx Tone Machine, and am having issues with the octave up being too harsh. It's basically useless other than single note playing The normal fuzz sounds nice. This build uses 3904 transistors and 1N34A Ge diodes. Any suggestions on Q voltages, proper Q hFe, etc, would be appreciated. Th...

Re: Electra MPC Module Schematics [schematic]
This is my custom overdrive module for the MPC guitars. The circuit is my own, and I designed the printed circuit edge card. I also print my own module cases. https://scontent.fagc1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/s960x960/234214229_348152746862990_6274470839256072563_n.jpg?_nc_cat=102&ccb=1-5&...

Re: Electra MPC Module Schematics [schematic]
I've build the "Electra Distortion" circuit schematic above into a module card. It's the one with the output pot.
Is there a back shot of the photo with the three transistors on it? Do you know what that one is?

Re: Electra MPC Module Schematics [schematic]
So, I am in the process of obtaining 3D printed cases for module boards. Wish I knew how to embed a picture, but they're basically the same size as the originals, only dark grey. I have my own overdrive, sold as a pedal called the El Mo, built into a card, and it works pretty nicely. Three trim pots...

Re: Electra MPC Module Schematics [schematic]
I have just designed replacement PCB's for the Power Overdrive and the Dynamic Fuzz, and they work. So, now I need to figure out module boxes for these. Made one of each, and they work just fine. I intend to do a different overdrive as well, as I started out with those two original, simple circuits....

Electra MPC Module Schematics [schematic]
Does anyone have schematics or traces of the old Electra Guitar MPC modules? Just picked up a nice MPC guitar, and would like to attempt to make a module board, but would like to first see the thought process behind them, as the guitar uses one 150K pot to control one parameter on the effect. Pretty...

Replacement Vibe Circuit Boards

These printed circuit boards are modern replacements, and can be used as an alternative to hand etching a replacement board. They are not meant to replicate the look of the original hand etched b...

Can anyone tell me what P$1 and P$6 represent? Also, I do not see the Takamisawa relay on the schematic. Any help would be great.

Re: Where can I get PCB's made????
OK, can't find any freeware out there that converts Express PCB to something Eagle can use, gerbers, etc. Anyone out there know of any software or anyone that converts for a fee? Laen cannot use Express PCB files. Crap...

Re: Where can I get PCB's made????
Yeah, I know. I attempted Eagle, and have it on the computer. But for me, certain types of software aren't intuitive. Eagle reminds me of AutoCad, and I have a hell of a time drawing a line with that type of software. I really will need to learn a more mainstream software, for sure. Does anyone have...

Where can I get PCB's made????
I've designed a dual layer PCB for a project and would like to know where someone can get printed circuit boards done at reasonable costs. I used a program called Express PCB, and although they have a board service, four boards are $175.00, which is kind of steep for something I don't really know th...

Re: Xotic EP-Booster [traced]
I hand wired mine on a generic PCB from radioshack. It originally did the same thing as yours. I had a couple issues. I found a couple cold solder joints and also a grounding issue where the board was grounding out against the case. Fixed those up and it really is a nice box now. Probably my favorit...

Re: Xotic EP-Booster
Are you sure that the Fatpants is the same circuit? It looks completely different than the circuits and part values that Elrengofa, Theo, or Moska have posted here. There are a million ways to skin the cat, so to speak, so it may be an equivalent circuit, but I didn't look that deep into it. I used ...

Re: Xotic EP-Booster [traced]
I'm wondering if anyone who has made a board for the EP Booster has any for sale. I built one on a generic PCB, and it works great. Well, actually the second one worked great. I'd like to do another one on a good PCB, but don't have the knowledge or equipment to do one. It's one great littel box for...

Re: Xotic EP-Booster [traced]
Thanks for your help. I got it pretty much all sorted out. Basically I had some of the wiring ass backwards on the battery/DC jack, and two solder joints were found broken on the board. No pop, no hiss. Just waiting for the 10KC pot. The booster works really nicely, otherwise. I find that it is on m...
