Re: Fender 6g15 Compared to Amp Reverb?

Thanks guys.

I know the purpose of the dwell knob, my question is how does the circuit around it work in comparison to the twin.

Regarding the mixer- it seems that the 6G15 changes the wet\dry ratio while the twin mix knob sends the wet signal to ground. Did I get it right?

Fender 6g15 Compared to Amp Reverb?

Hey guys, So I was looking at the schematics of the 6g15 reverb unit and a twin reverb and I am trying to understand the differences. I'm no schematics reading expert so maybe you guys could enlighten me on a couple of things. The 6g15 seems to have a lot more decay, even with the dwell at minimum, ...

Barber Silver LTD - no gain

Hi guys, I've built the Barber Silver LTD according to this layout: http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.co.il/2012/05/barber-ltd-silver.html Schematic: http://www.barberelectronics.com/Barber_Electronics_DIY.html It worked fine, until suddenly the gain knob didn't add any gain. I have checked the voltag...

Re: Cheap Painted Enclosures

How many enclosures do you need? Maybe ask him for a sample before.

And if you paint them yourself it doesn't matter that much if they get scratched before because the finish will cover that.

Re: Cheap Painted Enclosures

Where do you live Sanches? The prices for the boxes in the link you posted are around the same as those of mammoth\pedal parts plus. If you live in the USA it would be a better idea to order from mammoth\pedal parts plus. If you live outside the US shipping would be pretty expensive from mammoth\ped...

Re: Cheap Painted Enclosures

They kept avoiding me, replying once a week, and offered to make it right on my next order, telling me that they barely make any money off the enclosures (So that means it's ok to get enclosures with bumps and scratches all over them?)... I said i'm not gonna place another order, eventually they sto...

Re: Converting discrete op-amp into chip?

So I think i'm starting to figure it out.

Looking again at the OD3 schematic- Q13, Q14 and Q1 form the op amp, before that there is a notch filter (R34, R35, R48).

Q8 is the input buffer and Q9 is used for switching.

So what is the purpose of Q10??

Re: Converting discrete op-amp into chip?

Thanks.

So this is just the standard TS9\TS808 schematic i'm familiar with. Do you refer to the TS808 as the TS8?

Converting discrete op-amp into chip?

Hey guys,

I want to make a version of the Boss OD3 with an IC opamp instead of the discrete opamp gain stage.

But since the OD3 opamp uses Jfets and most chips use BJT i'm not sure how to do this conversion.

Any ideas?

Here's the schematic:

Re: Cheap Painted Enclosures

They have also packed it very poorly, with no bubble wrap or any padding, which could also have caused scratches.

Re: Cheap Painted Enclosures

I got the enclosures today, a bit disappointed. They are full of blemishes, little scratches and chips. The finish on the black ones is matte\satin which and seems pretty thin. The white ones has a nicer glossier finish but all of the scratches are more visible. I'm gonna contact the company and see...

Re: Paul Cochrane - Timmy [traced]

It also lops off high end, of which the exact cut off frequency varies depending on the drive control setting. You're looking at ~72kHz with the drive at minimum, and ~6kHz with the drive at max. Then after that stage, another filter cuts off high end starting around ~720Hz. At what stage does that...

Re: Cheap Painted Enclosures

Thanks for the info guys. So after asking every chinese company I could find, only one of them sales painted enclosures in quantities of under 100 pieces. They are Daier Electron, they only have them in black and white, drilling is only for 100 pieces or more. http://daier.en.alibaba.com/productgrou...
