This is a little aside. On this model I don´t see the "amp model" switching circuitry you mention in your book. I wondered where the 1k notch comes from on the "Tweed" model. I found no reference for that whatsoever.

Mike, did you get around to try the noise transistor mod? I have three other projects to get off the table before I can look into the FSH-1 so I have not chance to try myself. I found a source for the beforementioned synthesizer that uses exactly the same circuit the FSH-1 uses - namely an open base. It thus cannot be a tracing error.
