Re: Himmelstrutz - Fitzo

I got the pedal opened up, removed the black goop, then had to remove white paint, then discovered that all caps and transistors values are sanded off. I'm guessing the last thing to do is measure each component with a meter? How do I go about doing that to find the value of each cap and transistor...

Re: Relay bypass

Anyone? Hi Vlada, You can do your project with only few components.Microcontroller ATtiny85,relay Takamisawa AL5WN-K,voltage regulator 78L05, 10k---2pcs, 10 nF--2pcs, 10 uF--1pc and LED , momentary switch. From 9V battery power consumption is ~11mA in ON status and 10.5mA in OFF. For programming I ...

Hello, what about drain voltages on J201s at 18V? thank you I have installed the the 100k trimmers in both J201 drains but can't adjust it to sound good enough. Any help regarding d1 i d2 voltages will be really appreciated. Hi, In my unit I have: R9 ,R 14-------50k trim pot Q1----D----14.6V Q2----...

Re: SoulSonicFX - Stage Overdrive - The Klon Killer!

Looks good! I think I'll try this with an NE5532, with the second opamp used as a summing amp at the output, to mix clean and overdriven sounds. Hi, You can try also : IC1--TL071, IC2---MC33172N , IC3----ICL7660SCPA(max 12V). Power consumption:~5.5mA. IC1 ---NE5534 (more noisy and current rise to ~...

Re: Programmable bypass looper on a budget?

Hi folks, i stumbled over this bypass looper by american loopers: http://www.americanloopers.com/p/8774517/11ch-programmable-slanted-view-looper-with-master-bypass-and-live-mode---eleven-loops-11.html To me it seems like the perfect switching system. ~600$ is not cheap though and my dream switching...

Re: Dumbloid [traced]

well, i'm really happy with the MC33172N and I tried a couple of 4458's (RC4458P, JRC4558D) and they had fizzy decays too. a JRC4562D sounded a bit better than the OPA2134 to me but still was a bit fizzy. the TLC2262 is one that I didn't happen to try since the MC33172 sounded so good, but I might ...

Re: ancient prophet boost/od/dist/fuzz

Sound good Jimmi. I agree with box, if that really is a 1N400x then it will conduct all the time and rapidly flatten your battery. Passing a current limited by the 100R resistor and the internal resistance of the battery in series. A 10v (or higher) zener would be correct but serve little purpose o...

cobbled this together. no interest on the other forum, probably cuz it doesn't use biasing in a classic manner on the transistors. sounds fucking great. i used this last nite live and it totally kicked ass at stage volumes, from clean to scream to pitched static it did it all right from my guitar. ...

OK I' get it now. Bottom line is that apparently Nagy published this design and so far nobody (googled) ever wondered about this oddity in the circuit. Or is this one of these add-on's in hope to be one of these "and I added bullshit to the design and they just copied it in their clone" b...
