Re: "Little Angel" - Super Simple PT2399 Mini Chorus [documentation]

I just finished perfing this one and while it works in as much as I get a chorus effect when I switch it on, I lose a lot of volume and gain quite a bit of hiss/white noise. I switched out the ICs just to make sure and looked over the board - there are no messed up connections that I can see, but I ...

Re: Vox - Repeat Percussion (V 809) [schematic]

Thanks RG - I don't know where we'd all be without you. I'm happy to report that not only does the circuit work well, it worked well with all 11 of the UJTs -culled from 2 different sources - that I tried in it... all of them provided pretty much identical results. As for the NPNs, I tried BC108s 2N...

Re: Vox - Repeat Percussion (V 809) [schematic]

For Q2, on Analogguru's schematic it says to go for a BC108A or similar transistor. Should I be aiming for one that's similar in terms of voltage, or similar in terms of gain? I have a veritable boatload of NPN transistors, but none of those, and I've only got one tranny socket which I'm reserving f...

Visual Sound - Route 808

I got one of these for Christmas. Not bad, pretty much a modded ts-808, more or less. If people are interested in gutshots, let me know and I'd be happy to take them. It's a straightforward PCB with no surface-mount parts, so somebody who's decent at reading this stuff should be able to bang out a s...

Tube Cricket Troubleshooting

I am attempting to build one of these (it's the first amp I've ever built of any sort although I've made a bunch of stompboxes on perf and vero) but I'm having some trouble and I'm getting ready to pull my hair out. The amp and the tube power up perfectly fine, and I can bias it down to 6 watts @ ea...

Re: Tech21 - SansAmp classic

Yeah, just do any true bypass scheme that you want. In the absolute most simple scheme, use a DPDT switch and wire the left center lug to the tip on the input jack and the right center to the tip on the output. Run the top left lug to the input on the board and the top right to the output on the boa...

Re: Roland - AD-50 ( Double Beat ) [schematic]

To resurrect this thread - I recently built one of these on perf based off of the schematic (veroboard is unavailable in Japan where I live) and while it's not the most elegant thing to look at, I figured I would share the love. This is also my first post! As soon as I figured out that this was the ...
