Re: WEM - Project V [schematic]

I have one of these, and the battery arrangement/clips/contacts suggests 18v using old school cylindrical batteries rather than 9v, which is what everyone seems to be running their versions on. Has this ever come up?

Re: Top Gear - Sound Rotator

interested to hear how it sounds, I can't quite picture it. I'm also intrigued. If you can't see the flickr schematic, it's like four colorsound inductor-less twin-T wah circuits in parallel but all tuned to different bands, and all modulated by a (PSO?) LFO. I am going to type thing out with a LED...

Thanks.
I will have a go - what’s the recommended way nowadays, photobucket is hopeless now.

Re: Top Gear - Sound Rotator *now with circuit*

Herewith circuit diagram + post-fix gutshots by Dan Coggins of Dinosaural, although he stresses that without rebuilding it, the oscillator section may not be 100% correct. It had a dead RPY58A photoresistor (replaced with ORP12, similar functionally), oscillator needed tuning, lube trimpots, fix buz...

Re: Top Gear - Sound Rotator

It is now being looked at - lots of things wrong with it, bad photocell, oscillator, transformer buzz. Wet still very dull and wet/dry not "summing", whatever that means. It will sound very different when fixed, I suspect. H

Re: Aria RE100 Phaser

Apologies - this must be ca1980 or so - more properly belongs with the modern stomps. Playing around with it, it's quite individual - has a filterish sound.

Aria - RE-100 Phaser

Nice sounding, particularly at slower speeds - surely an MXR clone

Re: EHX - Frequency Analyzer EH5000 [schematic]

Sorry I missed these posts, it's a bipolar supply so a 15V DC adapter isn't going to cut it, you need to replace the transformer if it's indeed shot. Alot of the time the voltage regulators in these go bad from overheating, have you tested for AC on the outputs (the 2 outer wires) of the transforme...

Re: EHX - Frequency Analyzer EH5000 [schematic]

Ordered a 15v supply - if the pedal's still alive, I may convert the current mains arrangement to a blank plate with a standard 5.5mm socket. But I am not optimistic...

Re: EHX - Frequency Analyzer EH5000 [schematic]

Will an 18v supply be OK, do you think - I read here that some EH pedals take in 18v and drop it to 15v.

Re: EHX - Frequency Analyzer EH5000 [schematic]

Finally got round to it, socketed and replaced the 741 (tried two new chips) with no joy, and wonder of wonders it turns out there are no volts anywhere in the circuit! I'm in the UK, and its possible that somebody attempted to run it on 220v, in which case all manner of things might be shot. I'll t...
