This might be a good diy solution for a Les Paul :

Should be a piece of cake. why it is so expensive surpass my logic
any take on the direction of the windings ? does it matter ?

Re: suhr backplate silent single coil
Interesting
The Suhr patent says 250 ohm resistence and 200 windings is optimal, not to alter the signal
Any particular reason you made so many windings ?
My other pickup is a humbucker

Re: suhr backplate silent single coil
Ok I understand What i'm hoping is that, the fact that it is only cancelling noise on one P90 pickup (humbugger in bridge) might make it sufficient on th smaller backplate (the one hiding the potentiometers) It seems like there's a change from the Suhr to the Illitch version It looks like the ladder...

Re: suhr backplate silent single coil
Bumping this thread in hope to get shed some light on how to approach this I already have the system on my strat that I bought from John Suhr 8-10 years ago and it works great To construct this system for my Les Paul with a neck P90 buzz (HB in Bridge) I still try to wrap my head around some precisi...

Re: 3PDT loop output to ground
Hello Again
I solved the problem by connecting the Input sleeve with send sleeve, and the output sleeve with the return sleeve
Now there's no pop and no noise
Thanks !!

Re: 3PDT loop output to ground
Hi Intripped All my jacks are standart isolated mono cables Should i just desolder the sleves and let the box be the sole ground connection ? only the input sleve is now connected to something, and only to the send sleve, when loop is bypassed It does work but I have a huge buzz if the pedal in the ...

Re: 3PDT loop output to ground
Hello Again So I did made the same connections as the 3PDT on the right Except that no led is connected to the 7th pin First I connected the outputs ground but it caused wierd fluctuations and suck outs Now it works without that, but there is definitely a ground issue somewhere If the pedal in the l...

3PDT loop output to ground
Hello I'm dublicating my (bought) 2 loop TB box with led, to a smaller 1 loop without led box 1) In the circuit shown below, the send of the loop, is connected to ground when the loop is bypassed Is it to avoid clicking/popping ? 2) The 2 looper has a stereo input jack Does this only serve a purpose...

Re: DOD FX-17 MOD to Expression pedal for M9 [schematic]
Hello again
I found out by now that it doesn't work with a straight mono cable , mono jack to mono jack.
But to simplify things, wouldn't it be exactly the same, if I put a stereo jack 1/8" on my mono cable and just ground the volume outlet at that end of the mono cable ?

Re: DOD FX-17 MOD to Expression pedal for M9 [schematic]
please could you post trace side photo....? you can add one transistor if you need bigger voltage swing for controlling ..... thanks Boris I don't have a photo showing the trace side. I hope the schematic + this photo will suffice. http://www.flickr.com/photos/psopho/5180695273/in/photostream/light...

DOD - FX17 Volume Wah (Expression pedal mod) [schematic]
Hello I just bought an line6 M9 and I want to control it with the FX-17 Googling it i found there's already been some experiments with it but no conclusive information, except that the mod would be but a simple change of two resistors. The values of the build in voltage divider. Can this information...

Re: Strymon - El Capistan
Hello
I have this one and despite it's really nice features the buffer seems to mess with the analog /dry path.
Would it be possible to deactivate the dry path buffer (without destrying the pedal completely) ?

Re: Roger Mayer - Voodoo 1
I dont know why but when i change the white lead to the yellow I have no sound coming out I'll look into the capasitor values Desolder the yellow wire from the switch. Desolder the white wire from the jack. Place a jumper wire between the switch and the jack. BTW, any success with the capacitor val...

Well it doesnt really need TB because its not sucking tone when its off.
But I migth consider a rehousing at some point.
