Re: Soul Sonic - Crackle NOT Okay! [documentation]
I've been a massive fan of the SHO for years and now I've just built my first CNO for a buddy who couldn't deal with the crackle. It's awesome! Nicely done Soul Sonic :0)

Re: HBE Hematoma Bass Overdrive/Preamp (guts) [traced]
Well I've been waiting for close to 2 weeks for an answer from bubstance with no response, so here is my redrawn and corrected schematic for the Hematoma with part references. I made the correction for R13, as well as added the pinout for both footswitch so hopefully it makes it clearer for everyon...

Also that is a badass enclosure. Are those things readily available? I don't think I've seen them for sale around my usual haunts.

Re: "The Chalice" - Heavy Distortion/Fuzz
I can assure you that I will build this fuzz. But I just had a bunch of drama with the ex and my mom will be in town in a few hours so it'll have to wait. I really appreciate you posting it though. The diode coupling idea is highly interesting and something I likely never would've dreamt up. Also I ...

Re: Bob Burt, AH-1 Distortion [goop-alert]
Although it won't help circuit analysis any I'd like to mention that those green footswitches as shown in the first pic are shite. The failure rate is incredibly high. Avoid!

Re: Greenchild Tribus Drive
Yeah I'd stomp the scoop and level pots right through the enclosure as if the knobs were never even there. I'm a big fella with big feet in big boots who plays with his eyes closed most of the time. A footswitch that close to a pot is the kiss of death and has kept my money away from countless nice ...

Re: Mosrite - Fuzzrite [schematic]
I forgot to say welcome! And I'm not trying to be argumentative here but I don't really see 'misinformation' in this thread. Both the silicon and germanium schematics are available and there are several verified layouts for various DIY formats. What did you see that was incorrect? It would seem one ...

Re: Veroboard in the USA?
It should state clearly in the product description and photos that it's stripboard. It was stated and pictured clearly stripboard but what I got was clearly pad per hole. If they sent you the wrong thing, send it back. I mean, of course? At any rate I checked ebay for the hundredth time and finally...

Re: Veroboard in the USA?
I'm with Dr T there. Phenolic is definitely my jam. Since I ordered what was advertised as stripboard by Amazon and received what is definitely pad per hole from Amazon, I'm now leary of ordering anything else of this nature from those people.

Veroboard in the USA?
I haven't bought stripboard in ages. I just ordered some big sheets from amazon and they came in 'pad per hole' format. Annoying! Where do you guys buy vero lately? The veroboard website seems deep but I'll deal with it if I have to.
