Conductive Glue

Has anyone had any experience, with this: https://cgi.ebay.com/No-Solder-Wire-Glue-Electrically-Conductive-Bus-Tabbing-/330542531099?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4cf5dec21b#ht_6981wt_1141 mind you, it says non-toxic but poisonous  ugh, pls forgive me, just saw that there is a section ...

Re: Millenium bypass

hi ryanuk, i'll try to reply to your question but truly i'm just offering what i understand for correction on the forum. the jFET does conduct with 0V on the gate which is the reason why Millenium 1 keeps the LED slightly glowing in the bypassed state. this may be the reason why Millenium 2 uses MOS...

Re: Millenium bypass

i succeeded with Millenium 1. RG wrote that LED might take 1/2 a second to turn on but it's quick enough that and i really don't notice any delay. if i haven't red the info i wouldn't know there could be a 'problem' i can imagine that the theory he knows makes him expect the delay in the circ...

Re: Boss Enhancer EH-2 [schematic]

EH-2 looks similar to BBE or their proprietary chip. It's different from Sonic Stomp in that it has a limiter done by M5207 [VCA similar to LM13600].

Apex Aural Exciter Type B is even simpler but very much like EH-2 [has the limiter too].

Re: Baja BBE Sonic Stomp [documentation]

Hi Bajaman, I stumbled upon the datasheet of an old Burr-Brown opamp - universal active filter 42 http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/uaf42.html . Its implementation 'inverting pole pair' might be used to simplify Sonic Stomp a bit. A couple of feedback resistors and small caps are hardwired...

one thing, just in case. if LED works, isolate the LDR from ambient light.

Re: Opto-squeezer

Try: checking all ground points for connection with cable ground and battery ground and for their mutual connection. The pin 5 in the schem is a mistake but layout correctly shows pin 6 for output. opamp voltages should be: pin 1 not connected (should not touch anything) pin 2 ~ 4 V pin 3 4.5 V or h...

Re: Where to get (old) LM 741 and RCA 741?

as Dean said, the 741 has limited bandwidth but wether that could be called smooth is another thing. having in mind that those and these adjectives are arbitrary i say that dod250 with 741 gets additional distortion to the notes after 12th fret E. it does sound bold and great. with 741 you have a th...

Re: a case against the j201?

I recall correctly that ROG guys found out while doing the Fetzer thing that J201 had more gain while 2Nxxxx couldn't make unity gain. Neither could SK117. So horses for courses.

Re: Opto-squeezer

The project seems like an interesting updgrade of the dod280 project at GGG's http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/projects/16-compression/45-dod-280a because the envelope sensing part here seems more DynaComp like, although they are similar, and there is the Squeeze control paralleling the LDR. The ...

Re: The Pokerface - a no compromise FF clone

now the project seems to be a Tone Bender that can turn into a FF :) both perfect. i imagine if someone was putting a device with low output impedance before FF, it would disable the player from cleaning the sound from the guitar volume. it reminded me of two schems i've seen at RGKeen's that have t...

Re: The Pokerface - a no compromise FF clone

i hope i'm not OT with this. people often discuss FF together with wah exactly because of the input/output impendance mismatching. since wah is not reported to be troublesome with other equipment AFAIK, the Pokerface concept alone renders unneccessary the wah buffer mods.
