Re: Mad Professor - Deep Blue Delay [traced]

make sure that the pin 4 of the pt2399 is connected to the ground.

Usually this issue is related to not having the pin 4 properly grounded which makes the pt2399 lock.
Verify/correct it and report on the results.

Re: Mad Professor - Deep Blue Delay [traced]

No problem my friend. I'm wondering that maybe this is a problem related to the power supply. I'll try to build one and see if it still happens.

Tks anyway.

Re: Mad Professor - Deep Blue Delay [traced]

so long as I got the pinout correct (since they're kinda opposite from an lm7805) I've never had a problem with them on pt2399 builds.. done dbd, echo bases, heaps of rebotes.. never been a bother. Hi Guys, first of all, tks for bringing all this great pedal! I've built mine using both my own draw ...

Re: Mad Professor - Deep Blue Delay [traced]

If I plug a humbucker to it I get much more repeats and it starts to oscillate much earlier, maybe around 12 - 1 o´clock. With a tele it starts to oscillate at about 3 o´clock and with my acoustic guitar I can´t get it to oscillate at all, even at max repeat. Strange, it seems like the impedance of...

Re: Mad Professor - Deep Blue Delay [traced]

Anyone have an idea what can cause the repeats on my build ( it´s from Ivlarks layout) to behave differently depending on what I plug into it? Could it also be a bad pt2399? I´ve ordered some more from a different supplier so I´ll try that, but any input would be useful. I get 5.07 V from the 78l05...

Re: Mad Professor - Deep Blue Delay [traced]

Hi guys, for those who are getting often only clean signal from the DBD I would suggest you to try a different voltage regulator from the suggested 78L05. This are really crappy ones and are not that stable. I've made a test using a LM7805 (1A) and It worked very well and in a Robust way. I also tes...

Re: Mad Professor - Deep Blue Delay [traced]

I made lVlark's layout. But the problem is on all 3 boards I made, I get clean signal with the volume knob working , nothing else is working and there is the clean signal even with the PT2399 removed from its socket. What could be causing it? I checked row 7 of the layout which has a trace cut and ...

Re: Mad Professor - Deep Blue Delay [traced]

Hi Guys, first of all, tks for bringing all this great pedal! I've built mine using both my own draw board and meadbeans one (all of them using madbeans schematic) and I found a funny issue on them. All that I've built sometimes work and sometimes not. First I tought that it may be related to the PT...

Re: Mad Professor - Snow White Auto Wah [traced]

I just did the R18 and Cap mods, didn't do the diode, and it is a amazing change. I always liked the pedal, but this makes it breath so much more. It gets a better quack and the knobs seem to be much more responsive overall. Thanks for the tip. :applause: looks intersting . I'm very unpleased with ...
