Re: Soldano GTO Supercharger with 5 band

Hi Andre,

Just remove the potentiometer labelled "TONE" and the associated 22nF condenser.

This way you can connect your graphic EQ at the junction of 220K and 10K resistors.

And in the first stage there are zener diodes, which are very noisy, and without the R21 resistor, the pedal made a lot of noise. After installing the resistor, the audible noises were greatly reduced. Hi Vitalika, Nice design, but what happen if you bias the first transistor with a conventional re...

Hi aionios,

Can you explain a little bit about those "bad components choices" and how we can upgrade them ?

Thanks in advance !!

Thank you, I suspect K30AY, I have requested a replacement and I will continue testing. That jfet is to drive the status led in an schema named "Millenium Bypass" that avoids the use of a 3PDT pushbutton. If your unit does not work will be other damaged components that must be detected......

There is another thread dated several years ago exposing this same unit. (viewtopic.php?t=22071)

Also this is an annotated component values taken from that post:

Hi javableak,

My best guess is that this compressor is derived from the MXR DynaComp (if it were not a blatant copy... )

Try to trace the board you have taken this schematic -found in the web- as reference:

I live right next to a radio tower its driving me insane. Hi Scoop, Perhaps you must block radio frequency prior that entering into your pedals. Sometimes the shield of coaxial cables acts as receiver. Try to use RFI supressors like this in the cord coming from your guitar and/or in the interpedal ...

Re: Re-amp box transformer quest and 0 Ohm resistor

Hi Thomas,

I can't tell you exactly how the transformer in your image is connected.

My best guess is that any audio transformer with a 1:1 ratio (for example 600 to 600 ohms) should work fine.

Maybe some forum members has experience with this topic.

Re: 9V Low Battery Indicator (Layout)

How much power does it draw while monitoring the 9V Battery? Last thing you need is a battery monitor that flattens your battery! If my math is correct, this circuit draws 0.386mA with a fresh battery (led off) and increase to 0.828mA when the led lights on at 7 volts of battery. Perhaps with high ...

Hi Thomas, and congratulations for your work !!

I think that you can trace the curves for Base-Emmiter diode junction of several bipolar transistors as they also can be employed as clipper devices in some cases.

Hi Brian,

The purpose of the circuit section you marked is to mute the inputs of both power chips when powering the unit to avoid any transients at the output speakers.

Perhaps any jfet can be substitute for this application, but I'm not sure...
