Re: Ibanez - Classic Phase (PH99) - gutshots [schematic]

Well, I could open it up and take a look, but Dirks Schematic says P873-G35 and I have no reason to doubt it (it also looks like that on the pic).

Re: Ibanez Classic Phase PHGG Gutshots [schematic]

Well, okay... why did I write "PHGG" when it is "PH99" for real? We never know... but any mod is welcome to rectify my mistake.

Ibanez - PH-99 Classic Phase [schematic]

I know, ours truly Dirk Hendrik has already posted a schematic (thanks for that, btw) from this interesting pedal but I just aquired one and made some gutshots for those who have any use for it. Should you ask, and let's face it - you will eventually, this thing sounds very nice and is capable of so...

Re: EH - Germanium OD [schematic]

Well, hi SD456 - welcome and all that BUT... don't you think is leaves not the best impression when your first post shows you were not willing/able to read the discussion with all its deviations about this very subject? Also, you surely know the difference between a gutshot and a schematic?! Really ...

Re: Simple Transistor Compressor

So, the LFC style reduction seems to work indeed... you are productive I have to say! I should build this just to tame my curiosity.

Re: EH - Low Frequency Compressor [schematic]

Thanks for the writeup on the 3080 version - so while you're at it, why don't you do the same thing for the discrete version... . While the rest of that circuit is somewhat off the shelf, why the NPN (Q2) instead of the regular FET (as seen in the OS and others), I've never seen that before (...

Ok, especially for you... headache country:

To me, this is not of too great help  . Maybe that's just me.

Re: FEA dual band compressor (guts) [schematic]

The traces wouldn't be the problem, but one needs a magnifying glass to check all those vertically mounted resistors for their values. I don't know when and if I could borrow that unit again (given the owner would not mind the purpose). Also I guess there's another board with the charge-pump and wha...

Re: FEA dual band compressor (guts) [schematic]

Well, this one uses 2 Silonex optocouplers whereas the Trace Elliot SMX uses a SSM VCA chip... even though there is a dual compressor based on the one above but with reduced controls, employing the hardwired timing parameters of the SMX. I had a chance to test this one a little more and I can only s...

Re: EH - Low Frequency Compressor [schematic]

Just to make this even more confuse, here is another schematic for the blackfinger... including the parts around the 3080. https://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l155/fotofix/Schematics/th_Blackfinger_ori.gif I have long been intrigued by the discrete version of the LFC, but never really understood it, ...

FEA - Dual Band Compressor [schematic]

Just had a chance to snag this amazing box for a few minutes from the happy owner... guess what happened  . While designed for bass guitar this is really great on normal guitar as well. From the pics I took without completely disassembling the box I can only say I won't clone this one, but wha...

Re: Eagle Tips, Tricks, Help and other Useful Information

Depends on what you will print to - the easy way is to export to say 600dpi and drop it into an empty document the size you will print (A4 in may case, since I use overhead transparencies) with the same resolution, so it stays 1:1. Once the A4 document is filled with PCBs I print without any scaling...

Re: Solid state Amp discussion allowed (of course!)

In case you didn't know already, there is http://www.ssguitar.com which is dedicated to solid state guitar amps (well, the name might implicate this). To be honest do not visit that site too often, the tubes-are-all mantra seems to be stronger than expected, even though I should know better  ....
