Re: Simple RCA on/off box, iPod drone

As long as the outputs get grounded then the bleed through should be minimal, probably in the order of irrelevant. But you can experiment by flipping the in's and out's and see what's quieter, then label it accordingly.

Do you guys spraypaint the component side of the boards before soldering? It looks really cool! :)

Re: Ring Modulator Schematics

Okay, that looks cool! :) What does the two pots in the schematic do? The 1M near the square wave generator must be for frequency control, but what's the trim for?

Re: Simple RCA on/off box, iPod drone

Yeah, that's what I meant (with the center ground between the 4 jacks intact of course. :D) Note that the output jacks is what's getting grounded here, not the inputs.

Ring Modulator Schematics

I'm really interested in trying a ring modulator as an effect for bass/guitar, do anyone know of any good schematics? Good in this context would be moderate/low part count and no really exotic parts that I have to sell kidneys for, if that's the case I'm just gonna mail the left one to Moog straight...

Re: Simple RCA on/off box, iPod drone

Couldn't you just wire the output signals to the center pins on the switch, the signal from the inputs to one side and then ground the other side? That way you just ground the output jacks and disconnect the signal.

I would love to see some shots of the completed PTP wiring. :)

Am I the only one who likes that? Wierd... Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I'm a bassist. :D

Yeah, I know, would be kinda fun to have a fuzz or booster as a piece of wood with nails in it. Would be a tad difficult to keep hum out of it though.

Will the circuit work as it is with a NPN or do I have to reverse the power source?

I really want to try this out, gonna get myself a piece of oak and some small nails and try a DIY turret board approach. :D Maybe if I used copper nails it would work out pretty neat.

Here's the circuit that's used for testing 'em AC128's

Could this be adapted to NPN silicon transistors as well?

The worst thing is that if he would mount the board properly and pay a bit more attention to wiring it would be so much better.

Is that scale on the side of the PCB inches? Any tips on how to print it properly (I'm having problems printing 'em)?

Or even better yet, trace the schematic and PCB layout, etch a new board and rebuild it with high quality components. I know a dude who did that with some Behringer OD, but he rehoused it as well :D

Lol, when I emailed them about schematics plus questions about what could be wrong with my amp (the clean channel pot doesn't alter the volume, it just cuts it in and out at full volume, probably the pot, but I wanted to double check). They emailed me a PDF where they explained that they don't have ...

Oh man, I have the same bloody amp next to me, and I didn't even notice.

BTW, do you have the schematics for a Sessionette 75?
