Re: Bigfoot FX Magnavibe [traced]

Among the solving changes for problems encountered so far on Volume and Eq., as well as adding a 47pf to ground at the input, I suggest you try the following: 1- R5 connecting emitter Q1 to ground 6k8 (instead of 7k5) 2- C3 output 1uf (instead of 0.22uf) and for speed, what many have experienced up ...

Re: Fulltone - OCD [traced]

I agree, it now also works in front of the gain pedals or a high gain channel and the output buffer keeps a neutral sound in combination with the chain pedals. It has a low gain sound like a tube blow with the increase in average frequencies compared to previous OCD versions while distortion loses t...

Re: Fulltone - OCD [traced]

This new version is a maquillage operation. When the sales are jammed, the product was to be redone, the stated goal was to retire the fulldrive with the improved ocd and strange case pops up buffers like fulldrive, morning glory, ts etc etc and takes a bit here and there, like the snake that contin...

Re: Catalinbread - SFT

... Pictures with shadows, colors ambiguous or unfocused, mmmm: everything ok except 3 red rings = change the last stand with 2k2, benefits in the output impedance, in db volume and in eq and remember to clone the doubt!

Re: Catalinbread - SFT

If I connect the capacitor 22uF, the problem arises, but with the complete switch as in the original I do not hear any crackling noise, other mod that suggest you do in the 1st SFT is to replace R5 22k with 10k.

Re: Catalinbread - SFT

In the meantime, try these simple mods on an old SFT, may be enough. (The schematic used had been done by gkoerselman to page 5)

Re: Catalinbread - SFT

It finally, thanks to Visualdistortion for the many pictures taken, C14 is 47pF and downhill from source Q6 the resistance value is 1K. In conjunction with the drafting of the schematic, I have tried to adopt some improvements on my clone of the first version of the SFT and it really worth for those...

hello, I'm sending you the pictures in which you can understand where I miss the connecting traces, i reloading the schematic for writing correction R17 is 1K8.

Re: Catalinbread - SFT

Here is a schematic based on "Visualdistortion" pictures, concrete differences compared to the first version of the SFT removing 2 of the 8 original 2N5457, replaced with mpf 4393 and used here with variant mu-amp SRPP, adding gain boost, reshaped tone etc. Has anyone had a chance to compa...

Re: Top Tone - Light Drive [traced]

In this discussion I keep seeing sent schematic of a puzzle made up of fragments from SS-2, Light Drive and Skrydstrup ODR2, in my scheme published yesterday I mistakenly reversed R3 with R5, but it would be really necessary to define what is missing in a Light correct drive, the last schematic publ...

Re: Top Tone - Light Drive [traced]

Assuming that the father of this pedal is the distortion mxr + and Randy Rhoads to make up for its flaws used immediately after a eq. and that gives his best on a tube amp, the improvement made SS-2 style and Light Drive is obvious. A month ago I did a bit of healthy experimentation likely missing v...

Re: Fender Fuzz Wah volume pedal [schematic]

Here is a picture of the original transistor that, combined with the replacement of the CA3458 with an MC1458 ("modern" version without breath background), it maintains a sound fuzzy. With other combinations opamp-transistor-led-diodes you can go on territories of distortion.

Re: EHX - Bassballs [schematic]

I just added the 27 k (parallel to C10) as well as in the new version and gives more low frequencies that are more obvious selecting the fuzz; change from C15 1uf to 220N and R11 from 47k to 220k should not change the sound of a comma, right?
