Re: colorsound phase X
The not phasing at the slowest speeds issue is something I have encountered on several phasers and it has always been temporary. I think the LFO timing cap needs to charge properly if the phaser has been sitting around unused for some time. In my experience, letting the phaser run for a while at fas...

Re: DFX PCB's
Just to say I have bought a bunch of your PCBs and hope to have them up and running soon. I’ll be buying a few more once funds permit.
If you ever decide to do a clone of the Boss PH-1r, I’m up for it. I love phasers.

Re: DFX PCB's
That’s great news. I bought several pcbs from you and was very impressed. I absolutely loved the CS-2 clone. I look forward to seeing what’s on offer.
Cheers,

Re: Carlsbro - Flanger (Alu series) - gut shots [schematic]
Just found a schematic on an eBay listing. Apologogies for the poor quality, I had to do a screen grab to get hold of it.
Still, it's the first time I have come across the schematic, and thought it would be worth having!

Carlsbro - Minifex Chorus
Hi, just scored one of these wee beasties off eBay for a very reasonable £16.89. I have a couple of the Alu series (Phase 2 and Flanger, both of which I really like) and having repaired the Alu Chorus for a friend (which I also liked) I thought it was worth a punt. It has a nice, lush, vintage tone ...

Re: Pearl PH-03 issue
I can only imagine that there are two versions. Maybe the 4069 was revision 2, because the original IC became obsolete?
Just a thought.....

Re: Pearl PH-03 issue
It's a 4069 in mine! Like pretty much every pedal I have bought off ebay, mine wasn't working properly. When I looked at IC4 at an angle to the light, you could see that they had just gone over the top of the IC with a black permanent marker, but the writing was still legible. I swapped it for a new...

Re: Your favorite soldering irons/stations.
I have a couple of Weller PS3/TCP soldering stations which I bought off an old employer for £5 each when they changed over to Metcal soldering stations. The Wellers are great; simple to use, easy to repair and generally dependable. The Metcals were amazing though, a quantum leap over anything else I...

Just scored one on eBay! When it arrives I'll take some gut shots and try to work out some kind of interface box.

Re: Ibanez - PT9 (Phaser) [schematic]
Probably my favourite FET phaser! Mine went a bit weird at one point: the LFO only worked at faster speeds, when slowed down it would 'get stuck'. I found some gunk from a leaky battery and a corroded track which I repaired and all was well again.

Re: Monolith Fuzz Oracle
I had a look at some YouTube vids to compare the sound of my build with the real thing and I'm very happy with how it turned out. One of the vids made mention that the push/pull pot operated a tone bypass. You must have better eyes than me, I was really struggling to make out any of those resistor v...

Re: Monolith Fuzz Oracle
Many thanks-it works like a charm now. Rolling back the guitar's volume pot cleans it up very nicely. I like this one a lot.

Re: Monolith Fuzz Oracle
Anyone else built one of these? It's a nice sounding fuzz, but the density pot doesn't seem to do much at all, apart from add a touch of shrillness to the end if the note decay.

Re: Mad Professor - Deep Blue Delay [traced]
I have one built up and it's sounding very nice indeed. I'm probably being a bit of a numpty, but I can't for the life of me work out how to get the repeats to go into self-oscillation when the pot is maxed out. Any pointers would be very gratefully received. Cheers. hmm that's strange, what vale o...

I found that in v3, you need to manually add the .diy extension. Actually, it was my wife who thought of the idea. She found me swearing at the computer when I couldn't find the files I had just saved.

Re: Modded Phase 90 Perf
Hey, no worries! I actually learnt something by reversing the various Phase 90 schematics and comparing with the layout, and I think I had got lazy/complacent after a few builds. I think it did me some good!
Anyway, thanks again for the work!
