Re: Zvex - Woolly Mammoth [traced]
Lol, ok. :slap: I found an old, abandoned board from a failed project with a 2N3904 on it (not socketed, of course :( ). I'll try to desolder it without destroying it. How about the pot? Would a higher/lower value just increase/decrease the range of the "wool" knob (with parts of the exten...

Re: Zvex - Woolly Mammoth [traced]
I'm planning to build another WM from Igloo's layout (someone borrowed my last one, and never gave it back), but I'm missing some parts. Would it be possible to use either a 1K or a 5K pot in place of the 2K "wool" pot? Also, can I use 2N3906 instead of either one or both of the 2N3904s? I...

Re: SIB! - Nick Nitro [gut shots]
Yeah, I wondered about the two sided PCB too. Seems like overkill for such a simple circuit. The build is very neat though, no rat's nest in here. The only wires are for the battery clip, everything else is PCB mounted.

SIB! - Nick Nitro [gut shots]
I picked up one of these today. Apparently, it's a fuzz face and an octavia, with some tweaks. Maybe not the most groundbreaking pedal, but here are some PCB shots if anyone's interested. https://img140.imageshack.us/img140/6456/pcbback.jpg https://img526.imageshack.us/img526/5152/pcbfront.jpg The I...

I'd like to contribute, but I'm having some trouble with the chipin site.

Judging by Mr Fuller's reputation, I think it'd be all guns blazing.

I have one that I made for myself a while ago and would be happy to share it. Re: Foxrox - Through Zero Flanger
What do you guys mean by "through zero"? I have never heard that term. Any sound samples of this? There was a thread about through zero flanging on Harmony Central the other day, with some explanation on the effect and examples on how it sounds. The term was new to me too. Link: http://ac...

Looks like a good idea with the trim pot, Gila Crisis. I'll try putting one in my Machine, just need to order a 1K trim.

Re: Wattson Classic Electronics - Superfuzz
I have a Superfuzz, and I think it's a great sounding pedal. Solid build, too. I haven't tried the original, so I can't compare them, but I like the way this sounds. I used too have an Octane III, whih i seem to remember had a more pronounced octave-up though. Maybe I should build myself a new Octan...

Re: Skreddypedals - Pink Flesh
The Pink Flesh was $195 when it was in production. The fact that people on internet forums hype his pedals and drive the prices of the discontinued models through the roof isn't Skreddy's fault. He could easily have increased the prices on his current production models with $50-100 and seen just as ...

Re: T-Rex Møller (guts)
The Møller is a TS clone without a the mid hump. A good sounding TS, but a clone nonetheless. The blend knob is great for guitar too. I love placing OD after a fuzz to smooth things out a bit, and it's cool to be able to let some of the unaltered fuzz signal pass through.
