That sounds like ground noise ,also check that the heaters are wired correctly and that you didn't swap pins ,meaning all 4/5 go together and all 9 go together ,don't cross wire them or the humbucking effect is gone.Same with the power tubes .Also if you don't have a heater ground create an artifici...

Ok I went ahead and changed the caps.It was a great learning experience.First I bought the caps I wanted,FT and JJ,then dremeled the tabs off ad ripped them out of the chasiss,easier than desoldering,vacuumed all the debris up and put the new ones in place having made a small schem of how everythin...

Thanks Ice9,no number anywhere on them.The back looks like epoxy and the front says Charvel(guitar looking logo) and below it reads Charvel by Jackson and the registered trademark R.One thing I remember is that the original guitar had a 3 pos selector sw not a 5.
