That's not the HM-3 schematic.

This is.

TC Electronics Eyemaster (HM2 clone) mods

Hey all, Generally I'm impressed with the cheap TC Electronics line of basic pedals: they cover the basics, are extremely affordable and are built like a tank. With the Eyemaster HM-2 clone however, they decided (in all their wisdom) to only make the Gain and Level pots available, which makes it les...

Re: Boss HM-2 Issue

Q3 is the output buffer.

Do you have a signal at the wiper of the volume pot?

Re: Catalinbread Pareidolia Harmonic Mesmerizer [traced]

it does pass a signal but it's very trebly (I already switched out c10 to pre-compensate but to no avail) Remove R12 and see if any bass-signal passes! From there, continue to debug. and I can hear odd glitches. Hm that's weird. I suppose you don't have access to a scope and a tonegenerator? The ra...

Re: Lehle Parallel, schhematic [schematic]

Weird, you get a liiiitle bit more headroom this way on the negative side, but I'm not sure if it is really needed. All opamp stages are regerenced to GND and powered by +9 (or +Vbatt!!!) and -8.42, from the ICL7660. To be honest, I didn't know that the ICL deliveres a negative voltage that is sligh...

Forgot to remove something, could an admin/mod delete the post above? Here's the verified vero layout. (The labels are NOT the same as in the schematic above!) I built one over the weekend according to the above v1.3. Works like a charm. Photo-2016-05-19-18-36-02_5666.JPG Photo-2016-05-19-18-36-11_...

Eagle lib for AD75019 crosspoint switch

Check the other forum for a thread about what you can do with it!

Right now I have a general purpose loop switching board in the pipeline based on this chip.

Re: 19" tube amps, patch panels and shielding.

You could always bend a bit of sheetmetal around the back of that panel should it turn out to pose problems in your case, but I don't expect that to be necessary.

Re: 19" tube amps, patch panels and shielding.

I think you worry too much

I assume 'glowing tubes' refers to audio tubes of your amps? In that case there's only worrying about 6.3V AC filament supply wires, which are most of the time twisted and *inside* the cases anyway!

Re: Boss DF-2 Distortion/feedbacker switching problem

It shouldn't start in "LED blinking mode", it should only blink if the footswitch is pressed. Are you sure the switch is ok? Desolder one wire and power the pedal: it should not be blinking. If it doesn't blink, touch the wire to the other FS wire for switching. Also, measure pins 10 and 1...

Re: Boss - Metal Zone MT2 mods

So I wonder if the gyrator could be improved instead of just disabled. Could it be that it sounds better with a lower Q? I could also add a trim pot in series to C24 to control the intensity of the gyrator. Or I could replace the gyrator by just a condenser and a resistor in series to ground to ris...

Re: Boss DF-2 Distortion/feedbacker switching problem

Anyways, the "SW LOGIC"-part isn't quite as obvious to me as I hoped. I understand the Ibanez JFET switching, but this seems different, with the chip in place and all. That's because of the added Feedbacker functionality, which kickes in if you hold the footswitch depressed. This requires...

Re: Boss - Metal Zone MT2 mods

The buzziness is also emphasised by the gyrator *after* the clippers. Hi frequencies are boosted far too much. Remove C 24 and hear the difference!

That said, I like your switches :D

Oh the first code will work if it compiles and uploads to the AVR. With newer versions of the Arduino environment the old Bounce library wouldn't compile. With the latest Arduino application and the latest Bounce library the newer code above compiles (and works ;)) as well.

Re: Elex Noisegate

Ouch, I just realized: this isn't going to work right, with regards to the referencing of the signal (as alluded to above).
The signal is actually not referenced at all, we need at least two caps and two resistors to make it work ok.

Elex Noisegate

Hi all, this is a simplistic noisegate that was published in the 80's in the dutch electronics magazine 'Elex', which was a subsidiary/small brother to Elektuur (which was the dutch version of Elektor magazine). Their projects were simple and aimed at beginners. All volumes have been released on CD ...
