Re: Fender LSR Roller Nuts, Good/Bad Experiences?
Installed one of the LSR rollers on my cheap Mexican strat that would never stay in tune, even though I'm not a heavy bar user. Stayed in tune much better after the install. Then I stumbled across this: http://www.strat-talk.com/forum/stratocaster-discussion-forum/41383-brilliant-strat-trem-tuning.h...

Re: Way Huge - Aqua-Puss [traced]
I would love to, but I can't open any of those original files! I used either Express PCB or P2P, can't remember which, and that was 2 computers ago so I don't have or use that software anymore. Back then I made a bazillion copies of everything, and had backups of backups, so without being able to op...

Re: Catalinbread - Dirty Little Secret [traced]
I dig it.. Never used or finished building the first version, so can't compare it to that. It's a goods "base" pedal, definitely has that Marshall thing going, and the fullness control adds a nice thump, sorta like a 4x12. My fuzzes love running into this thing. Haven't started tracing yet...

Sounds like a ground connection issue then, rather than lead dress. Check and recheck all your connections, solder joints, etc.

Re: Toneczar - Openhaus [traced]
This thing has plenty of gain....also, with the bass, it doesn't seem so much your typical bass control, but rather adds "sub" lows (similar to the Fullness control on the DLS MKII). The original was fairly quiet, with only a modest amount of hiss at extreme gain settings - there's a crapl...

Re: Just made my first pcb!
 drill bits breaking.. I snap mine half way down the shaft when I get them so there's only a couple of mm sticking out the end of the cuhck.. less purchase area on the shaft length and since I started doing that I have only broken one in the last year or so (and thats' cos I left too much sti...

Dude, it's not that hard to find..... But note that there's an error in the wiring, madbean states the correction at the top of page 14 (or thereabouts).

Re: Toneczar - Openhaus [traced]
The parts list I included with the original schematic (back on page 7) shows 470uf/25v for C1 and C2. I didn't do the vero layout, so I can't take credit for that one (I suck at working with vero!)

Not sure which layout you're using, but as I stated earlier in the thread, I used the 1590S

Re: Toneczar - Openhaus [traced]
Well, you can either tie two values together in series, or you can likely sub something reasonably close. I might have used a 590 in mine, can't remember. Put something in, if it doesn't sound right, swap it out. Never be afraid to experiment! I can't tell you how many times I've used values that we...

Re: Wanted aqua puss pcbs FSB
Which ones? Madbean has the awesome Aquaboy boards, which is a shrunken Aqua Puss, with the added benefit of being able to use either the MN3005 or V3205 bbd's.
If you're looking for the original "big" boards, I have a couple of red ones left.

Re: Way Huge - Aqua-Puss [traced]
Have you read my post back around page 14 of this thread? It's the rough way of setting these up, although I'm sure if you sub in a signal generator and your scope, you would quickly be able to figure out what's what......
