Re: Univox - Superfuzz [schematic]
To increase output on the Superfuzz, try putting a 10uf in parallel with emitter resistor on the last stage transistor...... going by memory for what I did with my build a few years ago. negative leg goes to ground. Tried this on one of my BYOC Leed's Fuzz kits, and it did increase the volume outpu...

Awesome layout! It's really crazy you got that all in a 1590a layout...I gotta see a picture when your finished with your build!

Re: The Big Muff Tone Control - where to wire it
That's very interesting, I wonder if he came up with that. So it's a low pass filter using the volume pot/2n2 to achieve it at the end of the circuit?

Re: Skreddy Lunar Module [traced]
Right I said muff after looking at the schem, its so similar but of course the main difference is the absence of the clipping diodes that the muff has. The sound of the pedal made me assume it was a muff after first building it, until I did more research. I could almost describe it as the muff I've ...

Re: First vero build suggestions?
I've built the guitarpcb version of the Lunar Fuzz, man I love tone from that thing. So much shaping available w/ all the knobs and more gain than I think I could possibly need (no such thing!!!). And yes it is smoooooooooth sustain for days! I did get a chance to look at the schem and its quite int...

Re: Skreddy Lunar Module [traced]
The Lunar Module is definitely one of my favorite sounding muff characters so far. It seems like Skreddy took his time designing something different from the rest of the crowd. I built a guitar pcb version and I absolutely love it!! It got such a smooth ever sustaining tone. I'm really curious why t...

Re: First vero build suggestions?
Finally forced myself to build a Sili Tonebender and decided to go with your layout Nocentelli, I think its the best one I've seen so far! [smilie=a_goodjob.gif] I had to squeeze it down one hole on the far right but it wasn't a problem, just switched the 10K and 100n and put the wires for the tone ...

Re: The Big Muff Tone Control - where to wire it
Your close! Tone lugs 1+2 are tied together and then one lead of the cap is connected to lug 1 (it could be either lug 1 or 2 cause they are tied) and the other lead of the cap goes to ground. Simple filter to get rid of your unwanted frequencies. Then Tone pot lug 2 should go to Volume lug 3 (not l...

Re: First vero build suggestions?
The one knob fuzz is how I got into vero, the rest look awesome! Quick question, is the bias and blend pots on the SiFace+ both used as variable resistors w/ the missing lug tied to the middle wiper? Neither pot has any note about their lug 1 on that layout.

Re: REQ: Basic Audio Scarab Deluxe [traced]
Nice one arph! That looks pretty close to what I was thinking, just a few changed values. Is there a reason you switched the order of the 2K2/8.2n side of the tone pot?

Re: Colorsound- One Knob Fuzz [schematic]
Great circuit! It was my first vero a fun way to get into it. I didn't have to bias mine or anything special, but I did use an 820R instead of the 82R. Glad I read through this and found a good couple mods, even though it adds more knobs.. Those layouts are so compact Renegadrian, I'm gonna have to ...

Re: REQ: Basic Audio Scarab Deluxe [traced]
That pedal demo is really awesome! So many classic fuzz tones are being achieved. I've seen some other demos of his Scarab and I remember being quite impressed. After hearing those original demos I decided I needed to build myself a silicon tone bender fuzz (not interested in germanium at the moment...

Re: The Big Muff Tone Control - where to wire it
Nocentelli wow! :D thanks! am learning so much - am planning on adding the Tone Control to a Univox Superfuzz clone - my build is already sound great but would like to control the highs somewhat, and keep my EQ pedal free for other placements in my chain - Where do you think would be best on this p...

Re: Univox - Superfuzz [schematic]
The way I remove the upper octave is a little simpler. I just break the feed between the (-) side of the 10uf cap coming from the emitter of the phase splitter and the 470K resistor feeding the next stage. I totally missed that the first time round. I've been studying this, got a few questions. Fro...

Re: Tayda Electronics
I saw those Davies knobs there too! They look much better than their normal knobs but I've seen people make those work..
They also stocked a whole lot of box film caps at a nice price. I'm curious to see the quality of the 1/4'' jacks they just added.

Re: Univox - Superfuzz [schematic]
Nice job Ripdivot! I've been watching your post, super stoked to see this idea worked well for someone. It's hard for me to compare the sound to your clips cause I almost always use this effect balls out everything dimed! I can tell how you have a much more even sound than the two extremes normally ...

Re: Univox - Superfuzz [schematic]
Today I took out the tone switch and installed a 50KB pot in its place and it worked really well. I was still able to get the 2 stock tone sounds and all points in between. There was a little volume loss the more I went to the center rotation of the pot but nothing major. I'll probably try a 25KB p...

Re: Univox - Superfuzz [schematic]
Hi all I don't have any 2SC828 but do have a few 2N3904 at hand for this build - would i need to orientate the legs differently - I.e crossing the C collector to the B base position or would i just reverse the transistor for this build from reading through this thread i thought i just had to revers...
