Re: Circuit for a Blackstar Fly 3 watt amp?

I'll try to get hold of the Blackstar extension speaker (FLY103) cabinet for this amp and open that up to see if it also has an amp. One quick way to check this possibility is to trace the signals going to the extension connector. Most probably there are the same four as the ribbon going to the amp...

Re: Darkglass - Tone Capsule

I don't know why R20 is connected in that way. I would expect this kind of filter topology : https://www.petervis.com/record_players_and_turntables/baxandall/baxandall-circuit-design/baxandall-circuit-design.gif with both R at the top being R19 and R20, and the treble pot being replaced by R1 and R2.

Thanks ! In the comparison table, some values were still a bit uncertain for this pedal :

Re: Darkglass - Tone Capsule

At first glance the schematics looks logical, good work ! I'll check in more details later. Next step is to populate some values ... Resistors should be easy, your pictures are detailed enough to read directly. Some resistor use this code : http://www.resistorguide.com/resistor-smd-code/#The_EIA-96_...

Re: Joyo - JF-13 AC Tone [schematic]

Given that the bode plots of the other three are identical without the cab sim, I'd say they must be wrong too, unless the assertion is that the cab is the only thing that sets those amps apart in real life. Most changes are in EQ frequencies, so when set flat there will not be much difference in s...

By reading the big "Character Series" thread, all the schematics and comparisons between models from Tech21 and Joyo are there :

Re: Behringer - TP300 Ultra Tremolo Pan

Hey ! It's been a long time ... I happen to have that pedal (works great with a stereo amp or with keayboards), so here are some gutshots. It's based on a pair of CoolAudio V2159 VCAs, that seem discontinued. There are also a few opamps (4558, TL06x) and quite a number of transistors as well. It's f...

Thanks a lot, j_flanders ! That's amazing work in analysis, error-finding and circuit improvement. :applause: I'm proud that 10 years later, this thread still exists and finds some use. Replacing the 22k with a 100k pot and the 100n with a switch to various caps, really lets you shape the repeats bo...

Re: Behringer BSY600 Bass Synthesizer

I'm impressed that you traced all that out, Jim. Thanks. It's not that hard when you understand a bit what the designer had in mind. I was wondering if these could be encouraged to work work better with a guitar - I don't own one, so I haven't tried it, but they seem interesting. Presumably there w...

Re: Behringer AB200 Dual A/B Switch - Mods !

Is it possible to convert this pedal for use as an ABY splitter with each pedal turning on and off an amp like this Morley: http://www.morleypedals.com/daby.html It is possible to use this pedal as you say (each footswitch controls one amp), either with external wiring or internal mod. The "tricky"...

One can also build that into the guitar cable : http://www.till.com/articles/PreampCable/
but that's not a solution for a switchable boost depending on selector position.

Re: Behringer BSY600 Bass Synthesizer

Besides being listed in the schematic above, the pot values do not matter in such a design. They are used as voltage dividers on the supply rail for an ADC to read. The only thing to look at is the power consumption of too low a value... (And does it hurt your keyboard to type "please" when you ask ...

I got 7-lug switch with only 1 common connection ( 1-2-3-C-1-2-3 type). Can I solder those 2 wires going to separated common lugs in Jim's picture to single common lug of my switch? Oh, i did not know about those simplified switches. I don't really see the point, as it's not really cheaper to make,...

Here are a couple of weired-guitar-schematics resource that might keep you busy for some time : http://guitarnuts2.proboards.com/ http://www.geocities.jp/dgb_studio/2hvari_e.htm The series switch i wired on my SG does bypass the pickup selector, no risk of dead spot then.
