No, it's free floating, no strain relief at all.

Re: MI Audio - Crunch Box [traced]

Hi, I modded my crunchbox V2 into tonefreak Severe specs, really simple to do and it made the crunchbox so much more dynamic. One thing that kept me from using the crunchbox was it's excessive mid honk, but it seems like it's a bit less now with the Severe mod, and it's way more usable. I kept the c...

Re: Rocket Pedals - Animal Overdrive [guts] [traced]

i think this is the guy wampler had a falling out with. $549? oh jeezus. Yes that's the guy. I picked up one of their "Chicken Soup" pedals cheap a while back, and I should have posted pics because the case design is different and fairly clever. The Chicken Soup is supposed to be a tweaked ...

Re: MI Audio - Crunch Box [traced]

Hi, I have a v2 crunchbox and I like the basic sound, but I could use a little more bass and a bit less mids, anyone have any ideas on how it can be done? I was thinking about raising the 0,1 cap in between the 2 opamp stages to a higher value like maybe 0,47 or so, what are your thoughts? Or maybe ...

Is that a LM 833 opamp as well?

Thanks

Re: Tone Freak Severe

Hi, Thanks for the report, should be easy to mod a crunchbox to severe specs. A few questions though..! Do the red led clippers to ground after the 2Th op amp still exist? Is there an internal presence control like in the later models cb? Or is the bright switch the 5,6n/47n caps to ground that repl...

Re: Dr.Z For All

Hi, Has anyone seen the inside of the new Dr.Z jaz 20/40 amps? The preamp supposed to be very similar to the maz preamp, but with a few slightly different values here and there. One thing I'm sure of is that it has a 100k slope resistor and a 120pf treble cap in the tone stack. There are a few pics ...

TC nova delay noise and hiss issue

Hi, I have a TC Nova Delay, I love it a lot, but one thing is bugging me, the amount of hiss that it inserts into my amp. I use the pedal directly in front of the amp input and not in the loop. I emailed TC Electronics and they told me that these pedals were designed for best performance in line lev...

Pardon my ignorance, but what does it do when you put the cap on a switch?
Whats the jangle mod exactly?

Re: Radial - Tonebone Classic: mods?

Thanks Yongki, I assume replacing the 1,5k with 1k gives slightly more gain, right? Not sure what the 33nano cap will do because pins 1&3 are already interconnected and a cap will have no influence on that, or am I off? Should I replace the existing 1n4001 diodes with 1n34's? Can anyone shed a litt...

Does anyone have the Tonebone hot British schematic?

Hi,

Does anyone have the schematic of the Tonebone Hot British or Plexitube?
I would like to see how it compares to the Tonebone classic.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Cheers,

Frank

Radial - Tonebone Classic: mods?

Hi,

Has anyone ever modded a tonebone Classic, or are there any known mods?
Just curious what it will change sound wise.
Any ideas appreciated.

Re: Bogner Shiva schematic?

Yeah, I've been thinking about taking the loop out and build a new loop!
I've seen the Dumble loop but never saw the Demeter style loop, are there schematics anywhere?
Personally I love the loop in the CAAA od100's.
Thanks a lot.

Re: Bogner Shiva schematic?

There are some similarities between the shiva and the ecstacy, voltages are different though, the shiva has higher voltages in the fx loop and PI and also on the last gainstages of the od channel. The way the power-supply is build up is very much alike, same basic cap values, it's like 80% of the ec...

Re: Bogner Shiva schematic?

Again a schematic with mistakes!!!!
Sorry guys, but if Mr Raab took this schematic also from the parts on the sloclone bb he isn't the one who will get credit for this.
No offence intended btw.
I know the person who posted the schematic very well
