Re: JHS Morning Glory [traced]
Word on the street is, yes. I forget which street though. Yep. According to JHS's site it's a modified Bluesbreaker: "The Morning Glory is a very transparent tone-shaping tool that is the result of several years of building, gigging, tweaking and improving on the original Marshal Bluesbreaker ...

Re: Fulltone - OCD [traced]
Actually, looking at Mark's layout the transistors are wrong. Drain and Gate should be connected, not Gate and Source. Flip them around....Source should be the free pin. Are you serious? I didn't even catch that. I'll have to take another look at the schematic and try flipping them. Thanks for the ...

Re: Fulltone - OCD [traced]
Finally got this thing working correctly. I was wiring the pots incorrectly. Amazing how close to the real deal this thing sounds. Thanks for the help guys. Here's a couple of pics. Re: Fulltone - OCD [traced]
Never ever build from a layout that isn't accompanied by a (correct) schematic. Start from a verified schematic then put a layout you want to use next to it. It wouldn't be the first MarkM layout that takes some liberties it doesn't mention... Good advice! I had made the PCB a long time ago and tho...

Re: Fulltone - OCD [traced]
I think where I'm getting confused is the schematic and layout numbers don't match. C10 on MarkM's board is C9 on the schematic, and C10 on the schematic is C9 on MarkM's board. Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, I have a 10n cap in C10 position (schematic), but it looks like I have C9 (schematic) inc...

C10 is correct on my board. It's a 10n cap.

Re: Fulltone - OCD [traced]
I got mine up and running. I just have a couple of trouble shooting questions if anyone is willing to help. Should be pretty easy for folks around here. My build is based on the MarkM OVD layout http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=14049&g2_serialNum...

Re: Fulltone - OCD [traced]
Yellow cap (C8 ; with a plus in the silkscreen) is Tantalum. The blue cap are multi dip, sometime they are sold in yellow color like the tant as well. I meant in the schematic. I should have been more specific. I'll answer my own stupid question. I'm building the MarkM OVD version and C3 and C6 are...

Re: Soul Sonic - Crackle NOT Okay! [documentation]
oh wait, the +9v pad is connected to the wrong diode! Sorry, I completely missed that before. It's weird, the schematic seems fine. The +9v is running into D1, but when I got to the board it's not there. Am I missing something? https://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff13/jcweatherly/CNOK%20Schematic/C...

Re: Soul Sonic - Crackle NOT Okay! [documentation]
Alright, this is my first ever attempt at creating anything in Eagle so please be kind. This is not yet confirmed, but the layout should match Soul Sonic's schematic. My first layout was designed around mounting the board to the pot, but not sure it will fit. Anyway, here's what I have so far. https...

Hey Soulsonic, Am I crazy or did you have a photo tutorial of the "Crackle NOT Okay!" on your blog? If so I can't find it. If not I must be dreaming. You are probably thinking about the step-by-step tutorial I did of Analogguru's JFET booster. Ahh, that's it. Is it still up? It should be ...

Hey Paul, I will have to agree with Brink and his suggestion. I did a Google search for "timmy pedal" and came up with all sorts of discussions and demos, but no info on how to order one. I did eventually find your phone number posted in one of the online forums. If you make it easier for ...

Re: Skreddy - Mayo
Just completed my "mayo" build thanks to Spencer's layout. Great sounding muff. Thanks Marc for sharing all of your knowledge. I sort of made mine a hybrid between the Mayo and Pink thanks to the info on page 6 of this thread. I didn't do a switch, but did opt for more mids with an increas...
