Re: Fender Super Twin Amplifier

Update: Since it's been a while, I thought that it was about time I posted an update, so here we go..... About a fortnight or so ago, I managed to buy a second hand Ashton GQ-100 8 Ohm 200W 4 X 12 quad box from my local Cash Converters shop, last week I did some work on the Fender Super Twin amp, w...

Re: Zvex - Fuzz Factory [traced]

Generic username, 3 posts. Surely doesn't know how things used to be 10-15 years ago. Or knows, but it's somebody that created a fake user to just cause discord. I do remember all the "hail Zvex" stuff, all the "you posted my schematic, remove it" stuff and the "we are forbidden of talking about Zv...

Re: Zvex - Fuzz Factory [traced]

I haven’t posted here in years and I’m just browsing to see what’s new. I remember back in 2006 I modded my FF to get rid of the thinness and add some bass to it. I used 10µ input and output. I saw people were hesitant to mod theirs but over the years a few people did and then Vzex decides to make ...

The Marshall type tonestack goes well in the BMP and associated circuits. There’s a schematic for a few variations floating around the interwebz.

Re: American Popular Music - The Rock Years - Book

Viruses make me angry too! In 4 years I had two major ones on my laptop, luckily I was able to remove both. Then last week my laptop backlight went so I was in the market for a new one (i was using an external monitor for a week or so but I needed a new PC anyways), only problem is I had no cash for...

Colored copper clad (blue, red, purple, white,Brown etc) ???

I'm in Australia and need to find a source for colored copperclad as I cant stand the regular green shit. Anyone know where I can get some? It doesn't matter where the store is so long as they ship here. I dont just need to buy a few boards, I want to buy it in semi-bulk lots. I have some blue and w...

Re: EHX Big Muff, EC3003 REV_C Model [schematic]

Yes I says mistakes , some of them are 0.47 (not 4u7). My bad. But still, that version doesn't sound good to me, too much bass . Since I transformed it (I started with adding a midboost (ala Gilmour) in the tonestack , then I changed all cap values for the 100n and 22n with diodes) I like it ! (it ...

Re: EHX Big Muff, EC3003 REV_C Model [schematic]

All caps are NOT higher than 1uF, some are .47uF electros not 4.7uF. and thers TWO 2.2uF electro in it. Most caps are 1uF. In the diode clipping section stage 2 is 1uF then stage 3 is 2.2uF. And the way that woks in these two stages is the bigger the value the less boom. If you put 10nF in there it ...

Re: Zvex - Woolly Mammoth [traced]

Thanks Bumblebee, good to know. I'll check eVilbay... Next question, I just got the 'Sabertooth' PCB from Madbean. I finished populating the board, now, how does one wire the four pots and everything else with the board? Or is this a standardized process, one in which I should know - or is it layou...

Re: Zvex - Woolly Mammoth [traced]

Q2's hFE is likely too high, it needs to be 200 or less for the pinch to work.

How do you measure hFE? With a digital multi meter!
What is hFE? google it for more details! But basically its the amount of gain a transistor has.
