What components aren't identified yet? I just bought one of these suckers used.

It works pretty decent!

Re: BAJA Small Clone

Shouldn't be too hard. The trimmer has just a portion of the sweep where the modulation becomes audible. :)

Yeah, I have used one of the Small Bear ones as to fix a RI Stereo Poly. Its a drop in replacement on that one.

Re: EH - Polychorus [schematic]

Hey! I've been repairing alot of these lately for a customer who collects them. I've worked on two Echoflangers, and now I'm working on a couple PolyFlangers. They really are incredible sounding effects. I can provide some more photos if any are needed, though Nelson's pdf pretty much gives all you...

Here you go. Again, sorry the pics aren't the greatest. I'll replace them with better shots at some point.

Re: EH - Polychorus [schematic]

Here's a long overdue bump with a quick gutshot of my Polychorus. I can't seem to find my tripod at the moment, so you'll have to forgive the flash in the picture. You can't see it but the jacks all use the chasis for ground and there are ICs hidden under a few of the pots as well. Check out that on...

I had volume drop as well when I built mine. I tried putting a buffer in front and that solved it.

Re: Way Huge - Aqua-Puss [traced]

You'd have to test it in a circuit I guess. I tried replacing a MN3005 with a MN3008 once just to see what would happen. When the 3008 was set to a longish delay time it produced a ton of clock noise/whistling whereas the 3005 was silent at the same setting on the trimmer. The difference between the...

Re: Beavis Board

Curious to the folks that put mounts for pots on their DIY testboards. Are they temporary slots that you're just dropping a pot into for each mockup, or are you leaving the pots on the test board permanently? My thought is to make something similar, but have a box with say 10K, 50K, 100K, 250K, 500...

Is that a new addition ?
Not sure he actually has these - you should definitely contact him before ordering them. AKAIK, he had stopped carrying them as he kept running into re-labelled fakes.
^^^ I picked a couple up, they are the real deal.

Hi Paul,

It's all SMD with the exception of the transistors (Fairchild BC550B's in my case), electros, and a polarity protection diode.

For reference, the PCB on my LBM is labelled EC-D2rE.

You probably have some shielded wire kicking around your house aready, just hack the ends off a RCA a/v cable.

Re: Beavis Board

Are the components that it comes with fairly high quality? By this, I mean are the resistors and stuff that it comes with good, or am I better to go somewhere else for parts? The thing that appeals to me about the Beavis board is that it comes with a lot of parts, so I wont have to order any new pa...

Nice paint job, what type/brand is it?

I've been looking for a nice metal flake orange enamel locally and am not having much luck.

Yep, I built mine like that using a enclosure turned over on its side. I also like using alligator clips instead of the terminal strip.

Sounds like R24 might be well suited for a change to a trimmer, maybe a 50k?
