The nature knob has most effect at the far ends of the knob. Not alot happens in the middle.

I have built 2x using Madbean PCBs (the earlier version). Both pedals worked.

Re: BJF - Honey Bee Overdrive degooped [traced]
Perhaps try Bajaman's mods. You get more top end when nature knob turned to the right. The pedal does suit bright amps.

Re: BJF - Honey Bee Overdrive degooped [traced]
Maybe double-check your vero builds, especially for solder bridges forgotton tracks cuts, etc. Perhaps post some pics (both sides of the vero) that maybe we can help from. Comparing the vero layout with the schematic could be an idea if you suspect that there could be a problem. But others are said ...

Yep. The LM308 used to be the standard Rat IC. I ended up putting a CA3130EZ in my Rat.quaternotetriplet wrote:Hi guys. is lm308 a direct substitute? do they have the same pin?

ok....... but what about these resistor values.....? on R4 i'm having 390k when right one is 360k and on R7 i'm having 3,3k instead of 3k on R16 i'm having 47R instead of 51R.......rest of them should be o.k Just didn't have the right one's....is it fatal.....8) I'm no EE, but I am guessing that R1...

These are dual OP-AMPs, whereas the CA3130 is a single OP-AMP. Different pin outs.velsa61 wrote: (i also tried with TLO 72c & RC&JRC 4558's but nothing came through.....dead silence!!!!)

If one wanted to modify this circuit slightly to get more distortion from the gain knob, but without changing the overall tone or frequencies, where is the best place to start please? Thanks in advance.

Re: BJF - Honey Bee Overdrive degooped [traced]
I know that I built one before from Madbeans board before his latest corrections of course and the Nature pot was almost completely useless so if I wish to do this Vero of your's Mike and would like to try the alternate way for the Nature pot then all I have to do is build it exactly as is above bu...

Re: BJF - Honey Bee Overdrive degooped [traced]
Hi there.
If one cuts the trace and adds the jumper, then a 47n is fine. If not doing this mod, then perhaps leave the 4n7 in place.

I've got a yellow shark pcb ready to populate. I'm wondering, do any of these corrects increase the output, or is it still a quiet pedal?

My experience is that turning it to the left adds a nice bit of bottom end without sucking highs like some tone knobs can do.coldcraft wrote:turn the bass up or turn the treble down eh? seems kinda redundant.
