I have made some of these in the past and, from what I remember, C9 should be .004uf and the RX is actually a cap and not a resistor. It should be .01uf

Re: you can help to fight the goop - FSB Tracer's Fund
It's still going on, but we're in a bit of a lull at the moment. No particular reason, just lost a little momentum. But feel free to post a new thread with photos when you get the Creamy Dreamer. No need to wait for the Fund to get involved. :thumbsup I am not sure how to get the goop off. It is a ...

Is the pedal de-gooping still going on?
Someone told me they would send me a Creamy Dreamer to de-goop.

Re: Germanium Transistors
rawr i need some high gain germanium devices so i can build a Hoof Fuzz. I suppose I need to look at Russian? Providing that the transistors show minimum leakage, and a usable gain factor, you should be able to pretty much use any Germanium transistor for a fuzz circuit, I have heard some good thin...

FS Four Cry baby Wah Shells [SOLD]
I have four Crybaby Wah pedal shells in very good condition. They just need to be cleaned up a bit. All have the pots and gears, bottom plates, feet and two have the battery covers. Small Bear has Cry Baby replacement parts if you need them. One of the enclosures is in a limited edition silver vein ...

Re: MIRANO - EF-1 EXCITING FUZZ [schematic]
I would love to see pix of that one. You purchased it in '68, or someone else said they did? Post some gut shots if you find it. I'll be going over there in the next few weeks. I'll collect all the old gear and bring it home. As I remember, there are some real gems there! Did you ever find that old...

Re: EH - Big Muff Pi ( Ram Head, Early Version )
Just got a big bag of NOS gold lead 2N5133 transistors, and thought I would make up some MOJO Muff action......not sure if im going to go with the Triangle or RAM yet) But had a question, not found any recommended values for the the Hfe value, and order for units with 2N5133? :hmmm: Minimum HFE sho...

It is present in alteredsounds version though.
Otherwise, I don't see any differences between the pics and the schem.

Re: Wah sounds octave like and dull
That's weird. You should be able to have a lower value in there. I usually have mine around 300 ohms. DougH has set his as low as 100 ohms IIRC. Lower values sound nice and growly, IMO, good amount of bass and "honk". How does it sound without the buffer? BTW, love your work. I rec' Stomp...

Re: Wah sounds octave like and dull
You've got something wrong with the bias. No worries, it's just a simple resistor swap. My advice: put a 1k trimpot in the Emittor resistor of Q1. It's prolly supposed to be a 470 or 510, something like that... Thanks. I tried that and it did clear up around 1k I might try a really hot HFE transistor

I believe Jack Orman degooped it but he doesn't have a schematic. He did say that it is different from what people think was done to it.
