Re: death by audio dba reverberation machine gut shots and d [traced]

Interesting. As far as I understand GBP is simply the constant BW at whatever gain you currently have your opamp configured in? Higher gain means less BW? So in this case I guess more high frequency from each opamp stage and possibly the brick itself? And as far as slew rate goes in the pedal circui...

That seems to be the other "accepted" NPN/PNP version of the percolator I think. Two 1uF electros or two 0.1uF (100nF) ceramics.

Re: death by audio dba reverberation machine gut shots and d [traced]

The TLC27 doesn't seem like it was used with any particular intent. It seems to be a BiCMOS opamp so high input impedance, low bias current, low input offset voltage, low power consumption. Nothing really critical for this design, I could be wrong. My guess is DBA liked the way it distorted and it w...

Re: Interfax - Harmonic Percolator [schematic]

On the Collins clone that uses two 1uF capacitors, is the silver mica 100pF or 390pF? what about on the version that uses two 100nF caps... what is the value of the silver mica there?

Re: death by audio dba reverberation machine gut shots and d [traced]

Thanks Glass, I've been curious about this pedal for awhile. Never played one but the sounds I've heard are pretty wild. It's amazing how simple the circuit is, I would have guessed they were pushing the input of the brick to get some of those overdriven sounds. Looks like it's mostly just mostly po...

Re: A Switching Scheme [documentation]

Hey mictester, first off thanks for sharing this. I recently spent a few casual months brushing up on my C coding skills and tried the latching relay driven by AVR micro controller but it was noisier than all hell. I'd like to give this a try... You mentioned a few times using the fourth schmitt sta...

Re: Creepy fingers doomidrive [traced]

Guess that makes sense. Guitar would never exhibit a DC voltage large enough to warrant having input cap + side face towards it.

Re: Creepy fingers doomidrive [traced]

Is the orientation of the 10uF cap at the input correct? Negative side to the "bottom" pot/input and positive side to Q1 base?

Does the 'last' transistor gain matter or is that acting as an out buffer?

Need a single MN3005

I am searching for a real MN3005 and the Aquapuss/aquaboy 2xMN3005 daughterboard. Just one chip and one board. Let me know if you have one to sell or have seen them around. Have germanium, nice custom enclosures, ZZ top cassettes, and some other stuff to trade along with CASH money. Thanks.

Re: Analog Delay Add-Ons - Double Time, Modulation, Exp

hello good people. I just built the LFO board and it's working, just can't figure out where to connect it in an Ibanez AD-9... any suggestions? http://www.dirk-hendrik.com/Ibanez_ad9_analog_delay.pdf EDIT--- nevermind, lug 1 of the delay pot works fine in this circuit as well. It's definitely workin...

Re: Vox - Repeat Percussion (V 809) [schematic]

Nice thank you! Theres a quite a bit of his in this build.. Enough so that the hiss gets "repeated" and you can hear it distinctly through the amp when not playing anything. How can I cut down on this? This build has a MPSA18 replacing the BC108 and inplace of the BC109 is the BC108. Could...

WTB 2SBXX germaniums!

I'm looking for a few 2SBXX germanium pnp transistors for a fuzz face. Not picky on the actual model, just so long as they are in the correct gain range and low leakage.
