Re: Keeley 1962 Gut Shots [traced]
It looks a bit different from the circuit board pics on Keeley website. Specially in between the 2 jacks, where there are shorts and Q1 unpopulated. https://robertkeeley.com/woo/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Keeley-1962-circuit-board-e1432209233190.jpg Looks like a Tube Screamer type overdrive with an ...

Re: MOOG Moogerfooger MF-103 12-Stage Phaser [schematic]
I've checked the schematic and found it is ok up to a small detail concerning the connections to the "positive" VCA output. RN3-2 should be connected to RN3-3 and PIN 3 of U10A what is the positive input VCA. In the schematic RN3-2 is connected RN3-3 and R34 and so we short input and outp...

Re: Ibanez - DFL Digital Flanger [schematic]
Could it be a DCL PCB "upgraded" to flanger? I can't find any gut shots of a DCL so I don't know how its PCB looks like. Maybe in lack of a DFL's PCB, Maxon took a DCL's one and adapted it for flanger (adding regeneration, LFO and delay time adaptations, etc.). Or it may be an early protot...

Re: Ibanez DFL Digital Flanger
Yeah, I mean CF7, although I know I'm off topic (sorry for that).
I was refering to this page:
http://mirosol.kapsi.fi/2013/11/ibanez- ... usflanger/
The only reason I mention this here is because I realized Mirosol is a FSB member with this topic while I just bought a used CF7 four days ago.

Re: Ibanez DFL Digital Flanger
Hello mirosol, It may be completely off topic, but not that much beacause I want to speack about another Ibanez flanger. I just happened to buy a used CF7, and I came across your web page about this unit. And I can assure you that the mess with the 2 additional cas and the wiring on the solder side ...

Re: Ibanez DE-7 mods thread
Thanks! :D Glad to share this if it may be of any help. And here is what I propose for the trails mod: As it has been said earlier in this thread, bypassing Q6 (by shunting the drain and source pins or by lifting D5) is not enough: it allows only 1 repeat to be trailed after pedal is bypassed. It ac...

Re: Ibanez DE-7 mods thread
Thanks kroaton! :D I managed to gather my simulations. So I'll try to explain what I've done. I must precise that my version of DE7 is the chinese one, corresponding to this scheme: http://www.ibanez.com/parts/2004_PARTS/electronics/tonelok/circuit%20diagram/DE7-02.pdf The chinese version is differe...

Re: Ibanez DE-7 mods thread
OK, I've developped a global mod in the feedback loop of the Echo Mode (around IC8), which let the user dial the tone and the saturation of the repeats. The first control consist in a tone pot (I actually used a slider) which doesn't alter much the gain of the feedback loop, sothat the number of rep...

Re: Carl Martin Contour & Boost Gut Shots [traced]
Feeling bored at work, I tried to trace the circuit. I think it may be 100% accurate, according to your pics, crazyabe. :D Here it is: https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/280x200q90/661/zODgM2.jpg It's a nice and clever circuit (like all Carl Martin products) based on Sallen-Key filters topology. http...

Re: Dotted 1/8ths on the Line 6 DL4 (The Smart Switch)
Finally got around to messing with the hold time stuff. 100ms is way too short, just tapping a tempo triggers it. I've found that 275~300ms is pretty quick and doesn't trigger when tapping in a tempo. Thanks for your feedback, Joe, it really helps. ;) Yeah I'm glad I'm not the only one too :) I thi...

Re: Dotted 1/8ths on the Line 6 DL4 (The Smart Switch)
I don't think this is very useful, because it's slow. Sometimes you want to switch between two presets within a song. Listen to U2's "Until the end of the world" for example - eights in the verse, dotted eigths in the chorus... You can try to reduce to reduce that time in the program code...

Re: Ibanez DE-7 mods thread
I did the R31 mod and I'm enjoying it so far. Me too! The little drawback of this mod is that by cutting the treble frequencies, it also alters the number of repeats as the total gain is reduced in the feedback loop.. I am thinkink of one way to use a dual pot in order to make up some gain on IC8 w...

Re: Dotted 1/8ths on the Line 6 DL4 (The Smart Switch)
Very nice, Joe, it's an amazing mod! Thanks! :thumbsup One question: do you have to tap in quarter notes on the regular tap-tempo switch before doing the same on the new Smart Switch, like on your video? Or could you directly tap quarter notes on the Smart Switch without having to do the same thing ...

Re: Jack Deville - Dark Echo [traced]
Well, I can't believe I spent so much time thinking about that while the solution was so obvious! In the schematic above, it only needs to make the 47K resistor between the Schmitt and the integrator (the 2 op-amps) variable sothat the oscillator shuts off when it's 0R, and while R is increas...

Re: Boss - HM-2 ( Heavy Metal ) [schematic]
Hi GodSaveMetal! I own an old HM2 and the PCB is pretty destroyed by all the mods that had been made. I'd like to do a new PCB so your work is quite helpful. I have printed your layout, and the problem is that the size of the PCB is a little bigger than the original PCB, so it don't fit in the origi...
