Re: MASF Epilepsy

reminds me of extreme seppuku things like the spacefuzz & fuzz overloader, with bits of the christine fuzz and bitcommander mixed in. re info, only the jap stuff (masf seemes to be 'big in japan') which you may have seen but not be able to make sense of. but there may be a japanese speaker in the ho...

joyo jf-36 sweet baby is a clone. there are mods in that thread here that may be useful to you getting more out of it.

Re: smallsound/bigsound - Fuck Overdrive

tonegod's punisher (adapted from the dr quack envelope follower) is essentially the crackle effect. it's a bolt-on tweak that has been around a while. use this to misbias the 2n5457. http://tech.thetonegod.com/punisher/punisher_sm.jpg http://tech.thetonegod.com/punisher/punisher.html punisher values...

Re: Joyo - JF-09 Tremolo Mods

thanks for posting the gutshots, nammy. good reference material. this link will help you perform the mod you want to do http://dantonewac.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/modifying-joyo-tremolo-to-demeter.html what you have to do is work out on your pedal pcb layout which parts correspond to the components in...

Re: smallsound/bigsound - Fuck Overdrive

Start with the straightforward circuit: input J201 gain stage -> 2N5457 gain stage -> second J201 gain stage -> 2N5089 emitter follower. Use the already-traced sorta-similar Fairfield Barbershop as a starting point, and the BOM/PCB screen in this thread to reason out component values. Set up the ga...

Re: ESR Graphic Fuzz [schematic]

Well, I thought the layout was verified, in theory works well. So, the cut under R5 it's wrong? hi zosotone, the original (larger) layout i did for this is earlier in this thread ( http://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=22197&start=60#p247467 ). that one i built and works great. 1-1 wit...

Re: Seppuku FX Mind Warp

instruction sheet for mind warp. not a gutshot but clarifies purpose/function of controls, which may help narrow guessing as to remaining unknowns.

Re: Seppuku FX Mind Warp

Are there any other pictures besides Ugly Casanova's? i think the dearth of gut shots for any of the seppukus is down to the fact that a) there are so few of these anyway (kitchen table runs) and b) uc is the only owner out there lifting the lid to confront the horror of what lies within. actually ...

Re: Behringer - Vintage Distortion VD1 improvements

I'd love to see some gut shots of one of these. I did a quick search, but I couldn't find any. Is the standard Big Muff schematic applicable to these? Are the components all "man sized" ones, or have they used SMD? http://www.harmonycentral.com/forum/forum/guitar/acapella-29/1681974-/page24 http://...

Oh yes! I'm looking forward to seeing if this looks just as hack-sawed together as the Fuzz Overloader we traced last year :D  he's coming on in leaps and bounds now. circuit-bent nux time core aka ic water: http://postimg.org/image/upj8rqt3t/ http://postimg.org/image/fy12ve2cf/ yours for ...

Re: Mooer Eleclady: nomal mode busted

out of curiosity i just opened up my donner jet convolution (which is a mooer eleclady in a cheaper branded box) and can confirm that the two halves are held together by the six socket like pins on one side and the four on the other. jacks and pot only connect to the bottom board so not involved in ...

Re: Mooer Eleclady: nomal mode busted

you may also want to cross reference the madbean current lover schematic (eh mistress clone) with your original mistress schematic, as the current lover and the mooer both use the mn3007/mn3207 bbd chip instead of the (obselete) sad1024 as used in the original mistress. http://www.madbeanpedals.com/...

Artec - Vintage Tremolo gut shots.

someone gave this to me to have a look at as it's not bypassing properly. thought the forum might appreciate the gut shots as it's not here as far as i can see. unmarked pot measures 10K, all other important bits pretty clearly marked in photo. dusty 4tab black box (am guessing vactrol) marked CO5M0...

Re: death by audio dba reverberation machine gut shots and d [traced]

If you're getting muddy distorted sounds from the Altitude control, I'd assume it's related to whatever chip you ended up getting. That or you're hitting that thing with some super low frequencies and maxing everything out. I say that even though I've never seen one in real life, but based on the v...

Caline - CP-26 Snake Bite Reverb

caline cp-26 snake bite reverb i don't really know what this one is about as it seems to be dsp or something, but it sounds great and cost no money (£30) so i got it. sounds amazing with my alesis sr16. really places the drums in a time and a space. as it's a chip am guessing that most of the busine...
