Re: Hughes & Kettner - Rotosphere [schematic]
It is nice that you want to make your own layout. The schematics are correct, at least as far as i can tell (and that is not too much, but at least it sounds nice and does all the things it should do). I would never have the nerves to sit down and make a layout of that size myself, instead i used th...

Re: Hughes & Kettner - Rotosphere [schematic]
Hello, After some time i got in a certain mood and went back to this project, and made some progress. I did some audio probing, and it turned out that one of the MN3207 BBDs didnt work (no output signal). I replaced it, that solved the problem with the two channels having different output levels. Al...

Re: Hughes & Kettner - Rotosphere [schematic]
Hope that helps: "12V-Diode" just means that the prewired resistor is already set for a 12 Volt supply, so you should be good to go. Just make sure to get the polarity right :D Otherwise: Resistance = (E-U)/I, where E is the supply voltage, U is the voltage drop across the diode, and I is ...

Re: Hughes & Kettner - Rotosphere [schematic]
I will test stereo mode, the problem right now is that the output levels on both channels are very different. There is probably a wrong resistor somewhere, but i havent searched for it yet. There are also 6 trimmers, two of them conntected to the MN's dont do anything apparently, while the other fou...

Re: Hughes & Kettner - Rotosphere [schematic]
I bought the parts here and there and dont have all the bills at hand, but i estimate around 150€+-20. With so many parts, it really adds up. Of course, the frustration and headaches are priceless :) I made a quick sound demo, the loud humming noise is a recording issue with my sound card. I dont ha...

Re: Hughes & Kettner - Rotosphere [schematic]
Hey folks, Sorry for not posting for ages, other stuff kept bothering me for a while. I completed the circuit around two moinths ago, and of course it didnt work first. I tossed it aside for a while and only checked on it now and then. Two days ago, i finally got it to work :D . I had many errors to...

Re: Hughes & Kettner - Rotosphere [schematic]
Ok, i found something, if youre interested:
Ths guy replaced the momentary breaker switch on the rotosphere mk1 with a "normal" switch, this way you dont have to hold down the breaker switch all the time.
Its written in german, but has many pictures so you should get the idea.

Re: Hughes & Kettner - Rotosphere [schematic]
I started to build one of these with the help of ssmc's layout. I found a few errors, the in/outputs are strange and there was a resistor in the oscillator circuit that was connected wrong. Lets get that thing to work! Im sure its possible unless some diabolic H&K person put some errors into the...
