Re: Are these op-amps useful?

Not sure what those are off the top of my head. Perhaps try looking at the datasheet for them, and compare to the lm308/other opamps.

Also, keep in mind, the 2n2907 is PNP, not NPN. Devi uses the Tim Escobedo pushpull concept quite often.

Re: 2 in 1 stompbox HELP!

Switch 1's lug that normally goes to your output jack, should go to switch 2's lug that normally goes to your input jack.
Then run the output lug from switch 2, to the output jack.

The pbass pups are pretty good, but I haven't been able to use the bass they are in for a long time. I could measure them though.

Re: HAO - The Roar (degooping)

No problem! I really wish I could figure out the transistors. Them being rare and matched was one of HAO's selling points on them, and the reason they were limited to 100. Just be nice to know if what was being used really is all that odd. Guess we could make one and try diff trannys to see how much...

Re: HAO - The Roar (degooping)

Values were removed from the pots, but the "roar" is 5k and the "level" is 250k.

The .1 cap is in fact in parallel with the 22uf elec. The 33n cap is connected to the 470k res (via the red jumper), and the other side goes to the 360r & 9.1k.

Re: HAO - The Roar (No more goop!)

it's because we've had issues in the past of people erasing all of their posts. it turns into a bunch of drama and sets the forum into a tailspin, as we lose data and conversations just don't make any sense. not to mention all of the heated arguments that go down here, we like people to have to own...

Re: HAO - The Roar (degooping)

now to the pedal- ground wires soldered to the back of pots, when there is a perfectly fine solder lug on the jack just a few centimeters away? I don't get it. I think it was just a matter of taste. Looks a bit cleaner having it this way, but it's definitely harder, and an odd practice in most case...

HAO - The Roar (degooping)

Decided to try degooping a pedal, so the Roar is on the plate. Started like this... hao roar.jpg (images borrowed from a friend) hao roar2.jpg Goop is gone from the top now, but the bottom is a pain in the @ss. All the goop got under the box caps too so it's slow coming. Pictures will be up shortly,...
