Cool!
With such low current, you really got to watch out on those resistor values!

Re: Fire Power Booster - schematic inside
These Fire pedals are not boutique at all. They are assembled with cheap components... It's probably the brand I've fixed the most in my life. Their overdrive is a OCD clone with a slightly changed tone response... It's their only pedal that sounds good IMHO.

Re: LED blinking with LFO causes spikes on power lines
It's not one of those ones that flash colors, is a 4-pin LED, mainly three LEDs in a single package. Are these also supposed to cause spikes? Here's the schematic of the problematic part... The left line goes down to a switch, the two transistors and diode are a Millenium 2 bypass, and the section o...

LED blinking with LFO causes spikes on power lines
Here's the deal, I designed a Tremolo, based on a PIC programmed mostly like ElectricDruid's Tap Tempo LFO and using a LM13700 VCA (Ray Wilson's Music From Outer Space VCA). I sync'ed an RGB led to the clock and apparently the led draws too much current and induces a ripple on the power lines. I tho...

Re: Pigtronix Philosopher's Tone Germanium Gold LTD [traced]
With a clean tone and the sustain and blend knobs rolled almost down I have to roll the volume knob way all the way up to get the effect sound as loud as the bypass signal. But even with the four first knobs all the way up I have to set the volume more than half way up to get an even volume with th...

Re: Pigtronix Philosopher's Tone Germanium Gold LTD [traced]
I have the same volume issue... I have to roll it all the way up to get unity with the blend rolled off, and when the blend and sustain are all the way up, it seems like the volume is a bit lower, even though it may be just the compression... Changing R6 up to 33k didn't make a big difference...

I used to think that it was based on this design, but not so sure anymore... The freq to voltage converter is based around a loop with two CD4047, but I can't read the IC names...

Re: EH Echoflanger [schematic]
it does seem okay, any builds? the new stereo poly chorus (both large chassis and die-cast aluminum) run with one MN3008 and one MN3009. Suprised to not see any gutshots of those here... The circuitry is a lot different, but does anyone know how it compares to the sound of the old one?

Where to get Small EH / Pigtronix Knobs?
I am looking for these neat almost-cylindrical used in the new XO Electro Harmonix and Pigtronix pedals... Small Bear sells them at USD1.35 each but I wanted to find a cheaper source.... Any ideas?

Is the only problem you can get with these the fact that they are relabeled MN3008? Also, how can you test that?

hey man, I really like the moogerfoogers that you post! 8) I really like their designs but the pedals are really expensive... Ive been looking for some MF-104 Analog Delay info for sometime (I even missed a broken one on eBay that went for over USD400). I would be really glad if anyone had any info ...
