Re: Shin-ei/Univox Uni-Vibe [Replica Files]
Hey Andre, Don't get too hung up on the photocells. One big pedal manufacturer claims that his are 100% dead on replicas of the originals when in fact, they look nothing like them. Grab a set from Small Bear (if they still have them) and focus more on gain and offset (hopefully you built yours with ...

Does anyone know what font comes closest to the original one used for "Supa Fuzz"? Thanks!

Thanks. Have all that but it isn't helping figure out the actual wiring.

Way Huge Camel Toe Series/Parallel switch... has anyone figured out how it works?
Hi,
I've been trying to figure out how Way Huge did the Series/Parallel toggle switch in the Camel Toe, either in the original or reissue. Has anyone traced that part of the circuit?
Thanks!

Re: Analogman - King of Tone [traced]
Having done some semi-extensive side by side testing with MA856's vs. MA858's, I'm going to throw my two cents in. Yes they sound similar, but the 856 is slightly sweeter and has a smoother decay. Tell me I'm crazy as much as you want but that's my experience.

Mr. Black - BB-74x clipping question. [traced]
I came across the schematic for the Mr. Black BB-74x and have two questions. 1) A couple of people stated it's a TS variant but I'm not really seeing that. Am I missing something? 2) What do the 100r resistors in series with the clipping diodes do, both from an electronically and sonically. Thanks!

Not that this helps, but I used to live about 10 minutes away from where they were made. It's been years since I've played one but I want to say I remember it being decent.

Re: Tycobrahe - Octavia [schematic]
Chicago Iron Octavia #20. 1) It is a 1:1 clone of the Tycobrahe. 2) One of the electrolytic caps was blacked out and I'm not sure why because it was the 100µF. 3) Q1 had the numbers scratched off but the hFE was 1039 per my Peak DCA55 and the emitter does go to the 220k/220r. 4) Q2 and Q3 were MPS65...

Re: Tycobrahe - Octavia [schematic]
I got the GGG kit the other day and have been collecting schematics along the way. Some observations... 1) With the exception of the early hand drawn and Dunlop schematics, all the others seem to be the same. Am I missing some glaring discrepancies? 2) The completed GGG kit left me underwhelmed so I...

NOOB relay based switching questions.
I've been messing with relay based switching and have the code where I want it but have run into two issues that I could use input on. 1) On a couple of my builds (overdrive/distortion pedals) I'm getting what can best be described as a squeak or metallic ping that comes through my amp whenever the ...

Re: Top Tone - Light Drive [traced]
Hey guys,
I've been messing around with this circuit and have a quick question. The pedal has a bit of a mid hump I don't really care for, is there a part or parts I can mess with to reduce it?
Thanks.

Re: Analogman Chorus Schematic + Mods [traced]
FWIW, Analogman has stated that the original EH schematic (and ones that were based on it) contained errors. I've always meant to get around to tracing one out but life usually has other plans. Also keep in mind that he swore the King of Tone and Bigfoot/Fargen JW-40 drive circuit were original desi...
