Re: Ts808 Tamura mod
And what exactly are the clipping diodes on the board, looks like they may have some decipherable lettering on them. I'm going to say MA-150s, which were used in the original. My apologies, I spoke without looking at the picture closely. The diodes in the pic look like 1S1588s (the KoT hgh gain dio...

Re: Ts808 Tamura mod
I noticed that as well and I think it has to do something with tone suck in bypass mode (of course I can't remember where I read that), but I'm almost positive I someone else doing that mod.Ichabod_Crane wrote: ↑18 Mar 2024, 14:35 Thanks karul.
Change R127 is weird. That is on the switching part. Why change it?

Re: [Replica Files] Shin-ei/Univox Uni-Vibe
Hi folks, to make this short: i'm looking for the closest modern equivalent to the old LDR's used in the original Honey univibe - does anyone have info on the original's specs/measurements or can anyone confirm a successfull repair with replaced modern repros that seemed to keep the tone untouched?...

From the build article linked below.
With Timmer 1 adjust Q1 to -0.7 ~ -0.5V
With Trimmer 2 adjust Q2 to -4.5V

Title says it all. What, if anything, do you feel it does to the overall sound?
Thanks!

Re: Bluesprint - pedalpawn
They're claiming it was traced from one of SRVs personal TS-9s (guess we know who bought the one that came up for sale a few months ago). I've never read that his pedals Tube Screamers were modified in any way. I plan on waiting for the frenzy to die down and grabbing a used one unless someone here...

Re: Shin-ei/Univox Uni-Vibe [Replica Files]
Hey Andre, Don't get too hung up on the photocells. One big pedal manufacturer claims that his are 100% dead on replicas of the originals when in fact, they look nothing like them. Grab a set from Small Bear (if they still have them) and focus more on gain and offset (hopefully you built yours with ...

Way Huge Camel Toe Series/Parallel switch... has anyone figured out how it works?
Hi,
I've been trying to figure out how Way Huge did the Series/Parallel toggle switch in the Camel Toe, either in the original or reissue. Has anyone traced that part of the circuit?
Thanks!

Re: Analogman - King of Tone [traced]
Having done some semi-extensive side by side testing with MA856's vs. MA858's, I'm going to throw my two cents in. Yes they sound similar, but the 856 is slightly sweeter and has a smoother decay. Tell me I'm crazy as much as you want but that's my experience.

Mr. Black - BB-74x clipping question. [traced]
I came across the schematic for the Mr. Black BB-74x and have two questions. 1) A couple of people stated it's a TS variant but I'm not really seeing that. Am I missing something? 2) What do the 100r resistors in series with the clipping diodes do, both from an electronically and sonically. Thanks!
