Re: Important: boutique sections closed... DMCA kicks in.
Thanks to Modman and other moderators for taking care of these DMCAccusations. We have never advocated breaking laws on the forum, even the idiot DMCA. Lets keep building/modding/enjoying summer!

They´re diode connected JFETs. No big deal. I find they sound very similar to mosfet clippers.

Re: Freekish Blues Chubb Up
What is amazing is that they could tighten the nut with the lockwasher (that's what a star nut is) on the outside! Thanks, I couldn´t think of that thing´s name. Yes, it appears to be on top of the obfuscating arrangement! Thats the hilarious thing. Normally we would use it between a nut and someth...

Freekish Blues Chubb Up
This post ( https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=11263&start=2480#p149817 ) from the catfight thread intrigued me. Yet, it seems that the Freekish picture is some mockup. So I got some pics of the actual outside from gearmandude´s demo: https://img834.imageshack.us/img834/9342/...

Some great initial postings! One question: do RN4_1 through RN4_4 (470Rs connected to U10) connect to ground?

Looks like everything is labelled, ¨Q1¨, etc. Connections should be easier to trace than most smd stuff, judging from the 1st few photos. Another Mr. Huge design?

From the posted service manual:
¨R53 1Mohm to 2.2Mohm
R60 1Mohm to >10Mohm

So, without the mysterious test procedure...

Soulsonic's Hunny Bunny is similar to the core of this pedal - check it out for modding ideas:

Re: Death By Audio - Robot [traced]
:applause: Great team effort! One snide comment: don´t expect DBA circuits to make any sense. Glass_Hero - thanks for taking all those pictures for us to view! It would be extremely helpful, if we could see underneath the opamp and ht8950 on the top side. Would you be so kind as to (carfully, of cou...

Pretty good for a 3rd post! One thing - the led isn´t connected to the ht8950. Looks like its a simple on indicator.

Re: Mid-Fi Electronics - Pitch Pirate - Guts, Schematic [traced]
I´ve had experience with the 386 amp being very touchy. If you look at the datasheet (NJR website - http://semicon.njr.co.jp/njr/hp/top.do?_locale=en), it gives several tips for reducing oscillation, etc. Perhaps the only layout sensitive part we would encounter building a stompbox.

Re: Death by Audio - Fuzz War [traced]
I used a bunch of different junk transistors pulled from different stuff. All reversed. I used 390k resistors instead of the weird 430K, only because of laziness. Otherwise built according to Analog Guru's schematic. It might be good to use medium gain transistors in this, instead of super high gain...

Re: TC electronic CHORUS/FLANGER [schematic]
I'm sure this pedal packs many extra sub circuits that can be shaved off (by someone who understands them of course) so the "audio" part will be revealed. Its a very elegant design. I don't understand it completely (especially the clock/BBD pin 4/input OTA connection), but I don't see any...
