Re: Ibanez GSR200 Onboard Bass Preamp
Hi, anyone care to describe the role of IC1B in this circuit?

Re: Another Optical Compressor
Hi, just a minor comment. I have found that for all these optical compressors with half wave rectification thru LED, a great way to reduce distortion is to used two LEDs in antiparallel pointing to the LDR. This somewhat compensates fast LDR response and makes for a smoother response. Just my $0.02.

Re: BAJA Optical Limiter revisited - rev2 [verified]
Hi, I was wondering the same as KB. My intention is to build a rack-mount stereo version, minus the JFET buffer, with an opamp buffer and using symmetrical -9 / +9 volts. In that case, would it be safe to just use GND for everything labeled "1/2v" in the schematic? Would it be necessary to...

Re: my new delay, over the top PT2399's
No, this has been a project developed by cpm. We opened a list in this forum at http://www.guitarrista.com, and everyone in the list put his money to the project. Then cpm and other forum members organized everything to order the pcb´s, arrange BOM's and send them to each one, others designed the a...

Re: my new delay, over the top PT2399's
As far as I gather it, this delay can be purchased with the PCB ready for assemly and soldering. I was wonder if there was a schematic/PCB layout for etching PCB rather than purchasing it.
Thanks,
David

Re: my new delay, over the top PT2399's
Once that it has been made a first version, i find now a lot of things to redesign and improve. I'm planning on doing two derivatives, the fancier one with modulation, and another with only the delay, to keep it simple for 3 knobs, keeping the voicing this one has.. Waiting eagerly for it! Thanks a...

Re: Buffer pop
The 1K resistor at the output of my AMZ Super Buffer got 95% rid of the pop when engaging/disengaging the buffer. Just a very small click now. Haven't tried TBP pedals after it yet but I am pretty confident the popping will be reduced as well. This Super Buffer is impressive. I did some extrme tests...

Re: my new delay, over the top PT2399's
Hi, cpm,
The samples sound amazing. I was wondering if you experienced the distortion issues some people are reporting with the Echobase.
Do you have a PCB that you are willing to share?
Thanks very much,
David

Re: Buffer pop
HI there,
I take it that you would add the 1K pulldown at the output, i.e., after the 10 uF cap, is this correct? I am trying to fix the same problem with the AMZ super buffer, which gives me huge pops when toggling it on/off and also when on, in the TBP pedals after it.
thanks
David

Re: Tech 21 - Bass Driver DI [schematic]
Hola, Pablo, saludos desde Argentina! I've built a SanSamp myself but didn't have that problem (or any, for that matter). Check the PCB for bridges. I don't think the TL074 is the culprit (i am using TCL2264/TL07CN myself, no problems) Seems that there is no "CP" for the 74's but only &quo...
